Poor Garn - most all freebie bp machines I've ever visited had the "old people panic button" if things got too tense. I am wrong, or just combomulated?
I think habs would jump in the subway and try to get south as soon as he could.

Ah you are so right...my wild days in Chicago, have never left my memory or my soul....I left there going on to 25 years ago, and I have only been back once, for my brothers funeral...somehow I dont want to go back...I prefer to leave my memories of that time intact...I am always afraid if I go back, things will have changed so much, and I will not like the changes...so as long as I stay away, Chicago will always be the way I remember it...
My husband has gone back to Chicago for his and his friends annual Memorial Day Picnic, , for the last 5 years or so...and when he comes back home here, to Washington State, he always tells me about such and such a place which is no longer there, or how such and such a neighborhood has changed...makes me sad in a way...
Many of my old haunts are still there, but many are not, and some have changed greatly...I just prefer to keep them as they were, in my memory....
But I guess I will always be a Chicago type gal, whatever that may be...
To: westmex
back in the '60s fellow ran for mayor of nyc
I think his name was Louis Abolofia
put up billboards of himself naked all over town
underneath he wrote ''vote for abolofia, I have nothing to hide''

I like it...naked men and naked women doing political ads...
One time I greatly surprised a fully naked man...we were on vacation, and we just pulled into Monument Valley, and were getting ready to set up the tent for night...I had to pee so bad, so ran off to the bathroom...
Now, I swear, I thought the sign said, 'Women', but obviously it did not, as when I opened the door, there was a naked man standing there, naked and dripping wet, as he had obviously just gotten out of the shower...
I screamed, he jumped, I slammed the door, and looked again at the sign...it said 'Men'....ooops, my mistake...
Later I saw him in the camp store, and at first did not recognize him, when he grinned at me...did not recognize him with his clothes on that is...he just grinned at me, bought his supplies and kept going...probably wanted to get away from that crazy woman who likes to look at naked men in the bathroom...
