Dennis is not a kook
he had researched all the facts before he spoke to me
he knew the dates and locations of all the actions I took part in
he seemed to have no idea what things meant tho
spose an historian 35 years from now tried to grasp the internet explosion
and knew the dates better than we did
(when FR began, when Lcom began)
but had never posted or lurked on a site
you'd think the first question he would ask us is why we love it so much
to understand the experience
Dennis doesn't realize women's liberation was an experience

hi neets
I hope you had an enjoyable week for your vacation
it seemed so charming to me when you first told us about it
that you had the first week of spring for vacation
but it turned out to be an intense week :)

Hi Palo... Hi Habs.. I am sneaking in for a minute.. The computer has been telling me to prepare for a hard drive failure..and all of a sudden when I dared come on, it's acting more perky than it has in weeks.. This time when I came on it didn't give me the warning.. I don't know what's going on with this thing..
We just came up from fishing.. I had one strike, but lost the fish.. We have 3 1/2 foot Snook down there.. but they are not biting.. Too much feed I guess.. Won't even take live bait.. Oh well, we'll try again tomorrow..
I've missed you guys, but I've got a lot of fishing in, and am painting murals on some of my walls... Still miss you... sigh..

Now, Now, Palo, dont push the hefty Lulu out the window...she will sink like a ton of bricks....
Just dropped in for a few look-sees, about what everyone is doing today...I am in the middle of a big mess....radical house cleaning always looks like a big mess, until it all gets straightened out....so will not be here for very long...must back to house cleaning...
Just wanted to wish one and all a solemn and thoughtful Good Friday, if you celebrate it...
Palo, my very best girlfriend back in Chicago was Jewish...one time when I stayed overnite at her house, she made me matzo brie in the morning...do you know what that is? You take several 'egg and onion' Mazo crackers, soak them in warm water, until they get all puffy...then squeeze all the water out, and throw in a few beaten eggs....then make the resulting mixture into patties, like potato pancakes, and fry them up till they are brown and crispy...serve with sour cream and butter...YUM-YUM....
It was always easy to get those matzo crackers when I lived in Chicago, as they have a large Jewish population there, but when I moved to North Carolina, I could not find Matzo Crackers....my mother used to send me boxes of egg and onion matzos in the mail...or anyone who visited me there, would always bring me boxes of matzos from Chicago...
Even here in Washington state, its hard to find egg and onion mazto crackers....there is one store, which sells them, tho, and my hubby went over and bought three boxes of them so we could have mazto brie for breakfast....and we did...and that is my 'egg and onion' matzo story...
Again, may all on this thread, have a dear Good Friday...

It wasn't really bad Palo.
Had three good days of pretty warm weather and sun.
Plus I did most of what I wanted to do for a good part of the week!!!!!

Two Blondes waiting at the Pearly Gates strike up a conversation. "How'd you die?" The first blonde asks the second.
"I froze to death," says the second.
"That's awful," says the first blonde. "How does it feel to freeze to death?"
"It's very uncomfortable at first," says the second blonde. You get the shakes, and you get pains in all your fingers and toes. But eventually,it's a very calm way to go. You get numb and you kind of drift off, as if you're sleeping. How about you, how did you die?" ask the second blonde.
"I had a heart attack," says the first blonde. "You see, I knew my husband was cheating on me, so one day I showed up at home unexpectedly. I ran up to the bedroom, and found him alone, watching TV. I ran down to the basement, but no one was hiding there, either. I ran to the second floor, but no one was hiding there either. I ran as fast as I could to the attic, and just as I got there, I had a massive heart attack and died."
The second blonde shakes her head. "What a pity-- if you had only looked in the freezer, we'd both still be alive."

hi cookie
my grandmother used to make matzo brie for me when I was a little girl
she used regular matzos
so you can always use them
her recipe was same as what you did
I think she put lil salt on top when she served it
and then jelly or jam on top
it is delicious
it was my favorite thing to eat, also I loved her blintzes
she put raisins in them, they were good
