Delighted to be of assistance, I just hope you don't end up sleepin' on the couch on my account!!

Obviously you have not been married long enough to realize that the bed is worth fighting for at all costs; if you are that mad at me then you find somewhere else to sleep! Then you must trust that the angels of providence are there to protect you if she wigs out in the night. Besides, there is the opportunity of making up...

I hope you pay Jim a triple portion for all this bandwidth that most could have been link!

As Christian you are so vain and lack application of another kindness to allow us to post, if you had to maintain this on your own you could not afford it.

Fact is, I did not really know how much the bandwidth usage would be until I posted it. My DSL at home downloads the whole article in less than two seconds.

But at work, I have to use a 56k mobile connection. Having used that connection to access the thread, I do confess an apology to those who only use 56k connections... it IS a long download.

In all honesty, I have just gotten spoiled by my 1.4Meg connection at home and did not realize how big a file it is for the 56k users. Mea culpa, Me maxima culpa. But, if you want to accuse me of vanity and lack of kindness, that's fine. (shrugs). I don't really mind your name-calling; do as you wish.

Best,
OP

It is not a problem with my computer its Jim bites that's all, and you seem to always take over size bites.

I find if I have a long post I put down some of the highlights and link the rest. Its polite to Jim and the poster to not have to comb through endless post once they have read it.

Maybe I should not have been so quick to say those things to you, it could have been you didn't think of it in those terms.

Impossible in this case. Wylie's "History of Protestantism" runs to over 2,000 pages, not to mention the additional material of Wylie's "History of the Scottish Nation" and Boettner's "Calvinism in History". Merely "linking" these massive works into the article would have defeated the purpose: providing a topical and concise summation of the key observations found in these works (and yes, boiling many thousands of pages of exhaustive history down to 48 pages of Highlights for posting on FR, is a "topical and concise" summation. Some things just CAN'T be done in 30-second-soundbite form).

bump as promised -

I have to yell at myself every day for my temper and sometimes letting it get the best of me and repent over my outbursts so it's not that I think I'm any better than Rev 911 in that regard.

Let him confide in one of you as a pastor-- there's something wrong there spiritually. If you care about him, ask him what's wrong. I've spent some time today praying for him. My sincerest regards, TTC

please show me where I lost my temper here - I offered prayer - and perhaps since the keyboard so poorly reflects the intonation it was construed improperly.

I have assured OP I am looking in the Calvin doctrine in further investigating my own (I think OP called it "crack cocaine") faith (you ask what is wrong with me?). -However, I will not stand idly by and be bashed with out responding- youre talking to a kid who was raised in the city - my propensity to bristle, easily remains - dont read too much into it

start at #34 & 39

blessings to you

It was only an example to M-PI. I sometimes have internal opinions of, for instance of my furnace, my fuse box. my hammer. Both he and RnMomof 7 think I run and hide when someone swears. You'll notice I never get pinged to these things, so calm down.
