Pop open a second window and drag it in there, and see what it says at the top. Does it say the same sizes??
If you put '300' pixels in the code, then it might have limited it to that same number in the properties too.
And even if there ARE errors in the coding, web browsers will do their BEST to display a page. You ought to see some of the tortured mangled code I have had to deal with in the past.
No wonder I am insane.
BTW, I do like to have a new window open when I click on a link. That's how I post all my links. I learned that from observing our Ratty's post. :) Thank you, Ratty :)
I have the same problem of not knowing how to make graphics a decent size: it's either miniscule or huge, and by then I say the heck with it and go look for a different graphic to post.
Perhaps you could start a Sizing for Dummies Thread. Out for Jeopardy. bbl ;-)
OK, now tell me everything it says in the title bar of the window with just the pic in it.
Honey, dealing with mangled tortured code is almost exactly the same as getting a post-jackal woman.
I didn't create either mess, but it falls to me to clean it up.
Swervie and I are alike ONLY insomuch as we are both warm-blooded. Although I am not even convinced that Swervie really is.
When I bought this computer and it came with Windows, after having used DOS so many years, I talked to a friend here who just loves Windows--I should have known--- Sue is one of those free spirits--like a 4 or 5 year old kid that just lets it all hang out with no hang ups and just goes for it--none of that second-guessing or talking herself in or out of anything--she even had me exuberant about getting to use Windows.
From Day 1, the whole computer system was a nightmare--the mouse didn't work [my first time to use a mouse] and they took their sweet time sending me one...so, then, I get the system all ready to roll...and their isn't a manual....there's the piece of junk called "Help"--if I knew what I was looking for, I wouldn't be playing with "Help"!! And the screens are too busy--I get so distracted that I am less productive rather than more productive!
Poor Sue....she would come to the house...and just shake her head....and I was taking notes!!
Next, I signed up for an on-line class thru my local ISP....big whoooooooo.
So, it continues to be a struggle....I'm glad I did what I did once, cause that should last me a lifetime--and I can nod my head in a knowing way when someone talks about posting pictures!
I think I'm back to marching to a different drummer and certainly to a different song...... :)
You're saying title bar, I suppose that is the same as address bar. :)
Ok, if I click on properties and copy what I see...
http://www.babes4bush.com/photos/dubya/12-22-1,jpgWhen I put that in the address bar I get the picture :) but no pixel info. :)
Does that mean you're looney as a bedbug, like the other guys' say?
Well, if you should decide to post pics in the future, I am SURE that you could.
It is only difficult because no one explained it to you like a human thinks.
Click here, click there, move this, drag that doesn't give you anything more than a list of instructions. You get no greater understanding about anything.
But, some people ONLY want the instructions. Not me. I think different.
No MA'AM!!
NOW we are getting to the crux of the problem...
Re-drag that pic back into a window. Now, look for the small "X" in the very most upper right-hand corner of the window. That is the same "X" you click on, when you close a window.
OK, after you locate the "X" look on THAT line, only in the center of the window, or the left-hand side.
NOW, tell me what you see.
I am annoy. *L*
Sorry, but women are the ones who usually pretend. Unless they are with me.
There is NO WAY they could make sounds like that, except spontaneously.
