Even though I'm sure it was dangerous, I'll bet the fire was pretty and would be photogenic. My parents were huge John Wayne fans so we saw that movie about the oil well firebusters (Hell-something... quite a scandalous title at the time) when I was a kid and I never forgot it - except for the title. *LOL*

Nope, you can't see it from the freeway, but I've taken a ton of pictures of the bridge, so maybe you saw them. It's in almost every brochure or ad about Waco. Waco has an interesting history despite it's boring present.
Here's the top of the Alico buiding - the tallest structure around.

Once I went fishing with the hubby down in Delaware (don't ask me why .. lol) anyhow this guy cought the biggest ugliest catfish I had ever seen .. it must have been the size of the truck of his car ..

it was a movie about the legendary, Red Adair....i've seen him with his shirt off, he's got lots of bad scars....he's wealthy, but it came at a hell of a price.....
