You know what they say "third time's the charm." ;^)
Does your husband have an annoying sister named Dee Dee?

In desperate need of coffee, apparently!! LOL
Good morning! I have a used curriculum fair to go to tonight and I'm really looking forward to that. You can get all kinds of stuff for practically nothing. I got Matthew's health book last year for .50! Oh, and I also got that tadpole farm. (Mournful memories of Hoppy and Gloopy.)

Sneaky theif. Theify sneak. Illiterate dwarf. Make that:
Sneaky thief. Thiefy sneak.

Bring it on!

Hey OT, do you work with anyone like this? Yes! The place is lousy with them!

I have a friend who is a newly converted conservative, but still has his old leftist instincts and doesn't see how we can spend money on space when we should be spending it on poverty. Have your friend watch lots of Star Trek. Nobody is poor on Star Trek and you don't need money...

What curriculum do you use? We use mainly Abeka for my daughter who is going into 7th *ack* *ack* *choke* *cough* grade this year ;^(
For my son who is in 3rd grade we use Math-U-See, English for the Thoughtful Child, some Bob Jones stuff for history, and I forget what my wife uses for science for Josh, but it's not Abeka.
For our kindergartener, soon to be 1st grader, we use Abeka.

Hey, speaking of Smeagol, anyone hear from carton lately? carton spent some time recently over at the religious wars, trying to be a voice of reason, and was attacked by his own side. He's taking a break from there. Not sure if he's around here.
Those threads make the precious sneaks over here look all nice an honest...

"get some poor people up to the moon, then we can get the government to spend all the money we want on colonizing the moon"
Yeah, because then they'd be a "moonority."

correction! - It is 6:30!
[sipping coffee]
Did I mention how cute Elijah Wood was last night in the little backstage sneak? -
They showed the hobbits getting into their ears, wigs, and feet. EW has very sweaty feet, and he had more trouble than anyone else getting the glue to stay stuck. He slips out of his feet.

You can get all kinds of stuff for practically nothing. 2JM, my wife starts teaching in the fall at a home school academy here in Richmond. She's teaching high school English/American Lit (11&12). Next year is British lit.
She has to come up with her own materials. Can you recommend resources? (or anyone else here for that matter)
Thanks

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the water, OT!
Not sure if I'll be posting much today, but wishing everyone the best of Fridays!

Much enjoy your (screename) variation on the Australian greeting...LOL

We're using the Sonlight program for our 6-year-old. Rebecca is starting 1st grade stuff this coming year. We've got a challenge cuz she's already reading 4th grade and doing 2d grade math. My wife just went to a curriculum fair in Fredericksburg, she got some good deals there. She'll start "theboy" (just turned 4 years) next year too...he's already reading simple 3 and 4 letter words...my wife has done a great job...I had nothing to do with it...
