Yes, I will be posting the "Breaking" tomorrow. I don't mind you being pushy at all! - I have needed it. We lost a week or two there... heheheh
Then we can have a big party and celebrate with a new Two Towers thread! - I am looking forward to The Two Towers read. It feels like new territory to explore after a year of FoTR talk.
ALL - Be on the lookout for a good "Banner" picture. for the thread. Could be old art or could be a new movie pic, but something that would be a nice Welcome mat and Mood-setter for the Two Towers thread!
If he has time, maybe Ecrubh could do something magical...

something that would be a nice Welcome mat I guess that means no Orthanc or Barad-dur pics.

as long as you don't start fancying hobbits for supperDon't worry, sentients are strictly off my menu.
I do recall some kind of vague warning when we visited your place that we should stay indoors at night.
Well, it *was* Mirkwood Forest... you never know when you might bump into a giant spider, or a snooty elf.

Sorry about the double post. Darn browser goblins!

what are people doing today? I'm on the second-to-last day of a contract job, installing/upgrading PCs at a quasi-state governmental agency. Since it's so close to the end, most of the systems left are very simple, leaving me more time to post here. :)
I'll have even more time to post here starting Monday, since I don't yet have a contract to follow this one. :(

For our consideration! - I like them both! - (Or all three of them?) hehehe
To: Overtaxed
Orthanc or Barad-dur pics might be very appropriate...

I was aiming for warm and welcoming. :) There's a painting of Merry and Pippin at the gates of Isengard that I've been trying to locate. Not having much luck so far.

what are people doing today? Looking for pictures and waiting to go home.
To: Overtaxed
That would be good! - Hope you can find it!
To: HairOfTheDog
They are both nice, but are not homey. Of course, everything doesn't have to be homey, the HH is our real home. You might think of using that TTT film picture with Eowyn which was used at the top of 'Film's a Tower de force' thread. That is even less homey, but symbolic of the terrible struggle which is coming.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla: HairOfTheDog
Ooooh, yeah. Anything with Eowyn would be nice!

Hair, what about using the winner or one of the runners-up to the "theater poster" contest at TORn. We'd have to ask permission, but I was very impressed with them...
Here is a link (I don't want to post the picture directly here without getting permission from the artists and TORn first):

It's pretty hard to find someplace homey in the Two Towers. :)
The gate scene may not be suitable but it's one of my favorite parts of the book.

It's pretty hard to find someplace homey in the Two Towers. :)Well Shelob's Lair was pretty homey (for Shelob), but I hear she is in ROTK in the movies at least. But we could use the Hillerylob version, to attrack more freepers, right?
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Hehehe....Come into my parlor..... That's welcoming!
