Good morning! I'm up relatively early for me...7am. Fretting on what to get the boys for Christmas.

Is 1 down "Star of Elendil"? That's not right, is it?

I guess it could be right, but it's actually the Phial of Galadriel, the light of Earendil's star...which is sorta related to Elendil's star...

Once, when my kids were little, I tried getting their Christmas presents months ahead, so I wouldn't have to worry about it at the last minute.

Only, when kids are little, at least mine, their interests change so rapidly, that I found out it was hard to pick accurately ahead, and better to go back to getting their stuff at the last minute after all.

The thing is, they have everything they need and want! I am tickled to say, Matthew has enough Star Wars stuff! He went to talk to Santa the other day and Santa said "What do you want?" Joshua blurted out "HOT WHEELS!" but Matthew just stood there and finally said "I'll need to think on it some more and get back with you." I swear those were his exact words.

I just died laughing.

"I'll need to think on it some more and get back with you."

That's hilarious. But they sound like happy kids.

I've been reading Sean Hannity's book, Let Freedom Ring, that my neighbor lent me. It's a pretty good read, even though I think I've seen some freepers who can make his arguments even more strongly than Sean can. It's still good, though.

But he mentions FR in it, which is cool. Near the end, he's praising various conservative websites, so we got a mention. 'Course, if we got left out, I'd have been ticked.

Yeah, the Hobbit was many years ago. Any guesses as to white horses on red hill? (88 across)

I'm fond of Hannity. He's a sight for sore eyes when watching Hannity and Colmes (Colmes makes my eyes hurt) and a good alternative to our local afternoon talk show host (WBAL) who, while conservative, is very anti-war right now.

Does Treeroots fit with 79 down? I put Treebeard for 84 across allowing 79 down to be "middle"-earth.
