I would have thought that this genre would be a male dominated one. Maybe the rest of the men are off on the role playing game sites...

For me... the story is very romantic. In the movie, the Aragorn character is heroic, brave, honorable -- absolutely sexy!
The other reason I love the books is because the story is very well written... and as a not so good writer... I am always amazed at true genius.

For me... the story is very romantic. In the movie, the Aragorn character is heroic, brave, honorable -- absolutely sexy! I believe you. Strider had quite an impact on my wife when we went and saw the movie. Her and my daughter run around saying "Veeeego!" whenever we come across a pic. ;^)

They definitely are well-written. I notice that my wife tends to hang around when I am reading them out loud to the kids (she thinks I don't know, but I do). ;^)
