Well, at least you didn't say "is that a banana in your hand or are you happy to see me..."

Banana.....lunch time.....

I'm gonna go get lunch, too. Been on-line most of the morning poking around looking (unsuccessfully) for computer jobs in this area. My brain hurts.

Got venison chili for lunch. Someone at work gave me a bunch o' ground venison.

Maybe this afternoon I'll finally get back to working on my novel!

I think Radagast was only briefly mentioned. I believe he was the one that sent Gwaihir when Gandalf was trapped by Saruman. But Radagast hadn't known Gandalf was trapped, he had sent Gwaihir with a message for Saruman and Gandalf.

I think Gandalf meets Radagast on the road earlier in the book. I forget what happens though.

Radagast is the sucker Saruman used to get Gandalf to Orthanc.

Bad dwarf... very bad dwarf. Go to your room and think about that awful joke. And don't come out until your jokes are better. LOL!

Bye all, going to class...with my liberal professor. She's nice though, wouldn't dream of humiliating a student.

She does air her political views once in awhile, now that she knows how I feel (anti leftist +), she always aims a grin in my direction when she does it.

There's alot of Cubans in the class, Cubans don't like Democrats much, they don't pay attention to it.

Everyone likes her though, because she's a damn fine professor in her subject.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't so I didn't want to say.

My liberal started doing that too... every dig is now with a twinkle in his eye or a smile thrown my way. I like him. He's as boring as watching grass grow, but he has grown on me.

Hey everybody! It has been a while. I guess I’ve been suffering from posters block ;^) Reality came crashing in on a variety of fronts, and so I simply had no time for the luxurious fun and frivolity of the Hobbit Hole. (That is what I have to consider it these days, with all of the pressure at work and home, I may only have time for occasional posts – I can’t keep my sanity otherwise. Too many plates spinning, and some are more important than others) Some good news: Those auditor orcs and elves turned downright friendly and hobbit-like after I slipped them some of this…

But there was and is a lot of post audit cleanup, if you know what I mean:^)

Didn’t follow all the topics you covered recently, but noted two important ones to which I would like to respond:

Rosie Cotton: So sorry to hear of your layoff. That is never easy or pretty, but just try to think of it as God’s way of saying that you’re ready for something better! And I’m praying something better will be coming down the pike for you soon. A quote for you from Thoreau: “We must walk consciously only partway toward our goal, then leap in the dark to our success.”

Carton253: Smeagol! I was very dismayed by the way your professor treated you in that class, but very proud of you for saying your piece and having the courage of your convictions. Keep up the good fight, don’t compromise what you know to be true, and consider the bloody noses you get along the way as your “red badges of courage”. You’ll come out a tougher debater for it, and I bet there were a few others in the class who were impressed with your performance and wish they had the guts to go toe to toe like you did. Quoting El Cid, (of all people!), “To conquer without risk is to triumph without glory”

Also, I have to indulge in a little Minnesota rant: The death of Paul Wellstone and family, etc. was a great tragedy. It’s not the way anyone wanted the campaign to end. I am very sad for his family and his supporters. I wanted Norm Coleman to win fair and square. But the sickening display of martyr worship that is taking place here is absolutely disgusting. That “memorial service” was an absolute travesty (and was covered excellently on other FR threads). And I can’t believe that we are having Walter Mondull shoved down our throats. I am so furious about the whole situation. I’m doing my part to support Coleman and praying that Minnesotans will be smart enough to see that a tired old half dead retread has-been like Mondull has no place representing us. But I’m afraid he and “they” might pull it off. I’m hoping to go see President Bush at a Coleman rally this Sunday…. There is still hope…..

And now, to get really serious, I’m getting hungry for a precious again….. Has anyone seen one around here?
