Gee. That was an interesting thing to see first thing in the morning. I don't think I want to know that that was about.
Good morning all. I know that it's been a long time since I've stopped by. I'm back for right now. Been busy with life etc. Hope all is going well for everyone.

Sigh...it wasn't supposed to rain until this afternoon. I have windows to work on.
Oh well. I have plenty of things I can work on inside as well...

It's been raining here all morning. They say we're supposed to get a couple of inches. At least the squirrels and the deer are getting wet.

grrr... I was going to try and sneak out this mornin' as the front was rollin' in... will try and get out this afternoon if the rain lightens up...
BTW OT, I just found a package of backstraps from last year in the deep freeze... it's like finding buried treasure!...

Morning guys!
I haven't been around much because I took Friday off and took the wife and little ones camping. It was our first camping trip so we went to a state park that is only about an 45 minutes away.
It's called Jetty Park. It was pretty cool. It is right next to Port Canaveral so we could go and watch the cruise ships go in and out of port. Those ships are pretty big when you get close to them. We didn't see Capt. Steubing though. ;^)
Another couple from church came with us to help us learn the ropes. I'm glad they did, because if they didn't we would have been in the dark at sunset(propane lamps? What are those?).
Spent quite a bit of time fishing(for the guys and kids) and sitting on the beach(for the ladies). Fishing wasn't too good. It would have been nice if the kids could have hooked somethingbut I was the only one to catch a fish(a Yellow Jack that was about 8"-10" long) and we threw him back because the guy we were with said it wasn't good eating.
My boys did manage to hook a few rock fish, but they can be kind of tough if you don't know how to prepare them. ;^)
One of my boys, our 5-year old, managed to catch the same seagull three times in a row. He'd cast his line out and as soon as his bait(finger Mullet) hit the water the bird would swoop down and snatch it up. So we'd be seeing his bobber flying away, and that didn't look quite right.
We saw a sea turtle and a manatee, so that was fun for the kids.
We had venison, vegetables, potatoes, and flounder with a tomato shrimp & scallop sauce for dinner. I didn't know people could eat so well on a Coleman stove. ;^)
Anyway, the trip was a success. We will go again as soon as we are able to buy more of the equipment for ourselves.
How was everyone else's weekend?

OK - I am off for awhile! - Gotta get to work! See ya later!
To: HairOfTheDog
We could probably arrange some sort of canoe/kayak trip up Turkey Creek. There's a lot of Florida wildlife in and around there. When you get here we won't let you leave until you've been able to pet a manatee and see an alligator in the wild. ;^)
