It's got one of the guys from Silly Wizard on it...didn't someone mention Silly Wizard... Got more than one of the Silly Wizards on it, actually! Plus Patrick Street and lots o' other good folks. Definitely worth having.

I heard you guys talking about mythology and it reminded me that one of the things that really pleases me about LOTR is that it represents JRRT's creation of a mythology for the Anglo Saxons (apparently the conquering Normans substituted their own mythology for the Anglo Saxon one after 1066). Since our Constitution and Bill of Rights also grew out of the Anglo Saxon tradition, I kind of feel like LOTR is, in a very real way, a mythology for America, too, even though I doubt if Tolkien would agree.Sam, I couldn't agree with you more. Excellent observation.

Good morning! Glad to hear the DVD problem wasn't as complicated as we thought it might be!
Does this mean you won't be giving it to me?
To: HairOfTheDog
We got our Snipers last night!I sure hope they really got them this time! This has gone on far too long...
To: HairOfTheDog; SuziQ
Morning Hair! Sure sounds like it's them.
Still waking up here. Right after the Moose spoke last night (this a.m.?), little one had an asthma attack. Worst we've had in a while...so not enough sleep in the Stormhands household. But he's fine this a.m.
Suzi- can you tell me again what you do for your daughter's(?) asthma? (it was you, right?)

Does this mean you won't be giving it to me? In a word....yes. It does say it's copy protected. Time to get out the marker pen?
To: Overtaxed
You wouldn't be able to copy it anyway, would you? Since it's a DVD?
To: Overtaxed
I will own that DVD set sometime soon, though! The local video place has it to rent, so I've seen it and some of the special features, but I think Monty Python is really designed to be watched until the phrases become second nature to you. ;-)
To: RosieCotton
Agreed, Rosie.
Then, I think all the 24-hour news "experts" owe every white, middle-aged man an apology.

As much as I like 'The Holy Grail', I'm still more partial to 'The Meaning of Life'.
Just something about topless angels singing "It's Christmas, it's Christmas, it's Christmas in Heaven...hip hip hip, hip hip hip, hoooray!"...really cracks me up.
To: Corin Stormhands
No, and I know it'll never happen, but I think that these "profilers" really ought to start re-thinking their profiles.

I'm still more partial to 'The Meaning of Life'. I haven't seen that one!

We have to be diligent in pointing out the Muslim connection. I think Glenn Beck is gonna hit it this a.m....
