I'm at the part where Frodo has just escaped from the tower and he and Sam are resting. Sam crawls away while Frodo is sleeping and looks at the stars and it dawns on him that the Shadow is really only a small thing and that there is light and high beauty beyond it's reach. Then his fate and Frodo's cease to concern him and he lays down and goes into a peaceful sleep. What a scene that is going to be...those two hobbits in the midst of Mordor... *sigh*...I'm already prepping my tear ducts.

I agree. I tried reading a portion of it to the Mrs, but she just isn't into it, so she didn't quite grap the magnitude of the situation. (it was the part when Aragorn is 'officially' crowned King). It was just such a breathtaking scene, I wanted to share it, but alas, it didn't have the same impact for her as it does for me.

I have a habit of "acting out" the part I'm reading and I was reading about Eomer throwing his sword up in the air to him in the kitchen the other day and he looked at me like I'd lost my mind.
