That's beautiful 2JM, and very poignant...thanks...

Mrs. g is feeling much better these days, though not 100% yet...certain smells still make her gag...she has trouble brushing her back teeth without gaggin'...she's about 10-11 weeks along, so the dwarfling should be here in May...she's gonna try and have the young 'un induced early...our first was 10 lbs 12 oz, and theboy was a month early and weighed 6 lbs 8 oz...even though Mrs. g is a rail, she makes big babies...

BTW, you did a wonderful job on the bathroom...it's beautiful...a litle too foo foo fer me ;o) , but it looks great...

Good morning everyone!

I was out for the better part of the day yesterday running errands and such. I had a nice peaceful (read: no kids) lunch with my hubby at Steak & Ale, and bought new fishtanks for my cute little Bettas (I have 2 and am showing great restraint by not buying more).

I got into the office and wanted to play a PC Game I just bought, so by the time I was done playing You Don't Know Jack - Movies, it was time to run home early and get dinner on. My PC at home has a terribly slow connection, so I never bother going online there.

OK, last night I made a lovely lasagne which inspired me to put together a breakfast lasagne for the Hobbit Hole today!

Layers of scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, bacon, green peppers, and mushrooms are in it. I also cooked each item separately and placed them in platters so you can create your own breakfast if there's something in the lasagne you don't like.

Orange juice and strong coffee on the sideboard with all of the condiments. And, of course, fresh bread and butter as well. ENJOY!

Some Viggo news from TORN:

Irascian writes: Don't know if you’ve already reported this. From this week’s “LA Confidential” report in “Heat” magazine in the UK: LOTR star Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) has confirmed his position as Hollywood's favourite go-to guy for swashbuckling heroics. This summer he filmed horseriding action adventure Hidalgo; now he is first reserve if Russell Crowe, as widely predicted, drops out of western The Alamo. Which just goes to show that being over 40 is no obstacle to becoming a major movie star...If you’re a man

What, the shower curtain? Yeah...to foo foo for me too, but it came with the house and I can't buy a new one right now! At least it looks tidy. And it's not GREEN!

The rest of it is just plain beige and cream. I used to have a picture of some peas on the wall (which I thought was hysterically funny) but I haven't put it back up because I don't want to pound a hole in the freshly painted wall!

Mmmm sounds wonderful!

I agree with Hair about the lembas. I imagine it as thin...slightly thicker than a graham cracker, light brown on the outside, cream-colored on the inside and a bit crumbly like cornbread, but still holds together pretty good. I think it's flavored like a baklava, but not sticky.

Okay so we're looking at a cornbread muffin type batter on top of phyllo dough, with honey drizzled on it and topped by another layer of phyllo dough.

You should pull some strings and get DOD to let RMD design new MRE's.

That's an amazingly detailed description of a lemba...it fits, though.

I'm going to jump right in here on the lembas description...when I was a kid, I thought the Little Debbie Oatmeal cookies with cream filling were Lembas. To this day, I can't pass the Little Debbie section in the supermarket without thinking of elves.

So the elves founded Little Debbie snack cakes and not Keebler? :)

I'm partial to the Swiss Rolls, but they don't look like lembas

I agree with your lembas description, 2J.

They would definitely be sweet IMHO, and have to be thin and compact enough to pack many of them easily and lightly.

I'm glad you enjoy my virtual meals, g'nad. And don't worry, they make me hungry too.

I simply think of what I would most like to eat at the moment and then type it out. :)
