That question should be directed at Corin. I believe bits and pieces of your answer can be found in his beard....

LOL! I was going to make some smart aleck comment, but you beat me to it (and did it better than I would have...)

Just something about little Pippin bawling his eyes out, and his best friend Merry trying to stifle his own tears, so he can comfort him, Legolas looking completly shattered, Gimli in a rage...is a very emotional scene, in my opinion.

I hear yuh...that scene also let's you see into their character a bit...the hobbits' innocent, heartfelt grief, Legolas' thoughtful countenance and dignity manifested in silent introspection and the recalling events long past, and Gimli's display of grief through rage...that's where I'm like a dwarf...why cry when there's something to bash...

Hope that delivery truck makes it in time for breakfast before the dwarf gets back.

What was with Gimli in that scene, anyway? Legolas was standing right there! :)

Goo dmorning everyone!

I see that the late night spam fest stole away the Precious. Well, it's better than Smeagol! :)

I laughed my butt off all the way home yesterday with Seamus's reference to "It's Pat" from SNL in regards to Lothlorien. HAHAHAHAHA! Thanks a lot, ItsOurTimeNow!!

OK - I stocked up on several rashers of bacon since I know have a MUCH better idea of the appetites of us Hole Dwellers. SO, on with breakfast....

BIG platters of bacon and sausage on either end of the table (this is to avoid Corin "parking" himself in front of one of them and eating it all). I've cooked up a tower of flapjacks and there's fresh maple syrup on the sideboard.

Scrambled eggs are on the other table and all of the extras are next to it (picante sauce too). There's a basket of rolls and butter there too.

Coffee and tea are on the left. ENJOY!

Where's g'nad! What have you done with him!?

Oh, there you are. ;^)

I imagine poor Pip was feeling the worst out of the bunch. He probably felt it was his fault since it was through his Tookishness that the orcs came and then after the orcs, the Balrog.

I like how PJ showed a compassionate side to Boromir at that scene. Actually during the whole Moria episode Boromir shows how much he has come to care for the group: placing a comforting hand on Gimli's shoulder in Balin's tomb, taking Merry & Pippen under his arms as he jumps across the chasm in the staircase, carrying Frodo out of Moria, and then urging Mr. Focus to let the Fellowship have a moment to grieve for Gandalf.
