OK, marking my place.... don't encourage the stinky dwarf...
To: Wordsmith
Tom is easily the most sexual character in the bookNo question. Goldberry was a babe!
To: Wordsmith
Of course, he's careless and would have chucked the Ring. Oh well, another case of "men are weak". ;) Since Iarwain Ben-adar is the "Eldest" and "Fatherless" I don't think he'd qualify as a Man. :)

OK, marking my place.... Good idea...
To: Corin Stormhands
don't encourage the stinky dwarf... too late...

Ok, I'll freely admit to having a crass sense of humor... thanks Bear... it's good to be appreciated...though I will admit... I hesitated (slightly) before hitting post...
To: g'nad
g'nad sorry...bad bad g'nad...Awwwww....that's OK, I understand, believe me....but with newcomers about, and our nice clean G rating and all....well, you know....there are other caves for that sort of thing... ;^)
To: g'nad
You're welcome. :)
Although it may not have been, uhm... appropriate... for the thread... I still laughed. :)
To: Wordsmith
Well, let me see...the guy goes to great lengths to complain about the film...he doesn't like it and certainly that's his perogative and his opinion is just as valid as anyone else's. I think it's in the complaining that I get irritated.
It came across (to me anyway) as arrogant and that people who differed from his opinion were obvious fools. RM's analogy fit, about the person complaining about the tiny seeds in the seedless watermelon. Almost like "You people are so stupid to call this watermelon seedless, that you need someone infinitely smarter than you to point out your obvious error".
It comes across as pompous and silly. And after having just been blessed out by an equally pompous and silly psychologist in my Sunday School class...it just rubs me wrong!
(You don't, of course..the "essay" does.)
To: RMDupree
"Which race are you?"
Ok, ok...I've given it some thought while I was working last night....
Ladies and Gents, Elves, Hobbits, Dwarves, and various magical creatures, allow me to present to you...
Seamus Hamfist - Hobbit
Slightly taller and stockier than the average Hobbit, Seamus is jokingly refered to as "Old 4x4" by his friends, who say he is "as tall as he is wide".
Seamus is not the brightest of Hobbits, but is loyal and kind. While his strength comes in handy for lifing large rocks, tree limbs, orcs, etc, it also makes him rather clumsy. Despite this, Seamus is a gentle friend, and a good ally to all Hobbits Shire-wide.
To: Vets_Husband_and_Wife
Hi, nice to see you again!
To: ItsOurTimeNow
Seamus, huh? Would you ....by any chance......play the pennywhistle?
To: Overtaxed
Not with these massive hands...heck no! LOL
To: ItsOurTimeNow
Pleased to meet you Seamus! :)
To: ItsOurTimeNow
WELCOME Seamus!!
I am proud to see another Hobbit join our ranks. Here's a cup of tea and a honeycake.
Have a seat over there and I'll get some of my prized Longbottom Leaf and an extra pipe for you!
Does anyone else want some tea, beer, honeycakes or pipeweed?
