Thanks...I don't think it was a mortar bomb, then. I think they just stuck it in the hole they dug.

I don't get the point of people like that, that get a rise out of making people mad. It's like those kids that go around smashing windows and defacing buildings for "fun". WHY is that fun? How exactly does it profit the vandal?

Good job OT!! Got one for the Hobbits, I see. YIPPEE!!!

Good morning everyone!

Got in late today, so lots of work piled up in front of me at the moment. I'll be in and out all day, but had to stop in and set up the grub.

Breakfast is on - buffet style, of course! ;)

Flapjacks, waffles, french toast, eggs (any way you like), bacon, sausage, fried ham slices, buttered toast, several kinds of jelly and jam, fruit preserves and lots and lots of coffee and tea. Cold milk and orange juice to the left. ENJOY!!

See you all later! (I missed the Pres speech last night, so I must watch it online somehow).

Well, my brother's birthday party was a success...

Did Gandalf come and do fireworks?

Does anyone know if that will change, or if that is one of the hallmarks of Turtledove's writing?

I've only read Guns of the South. Seems like there were a couple of central characters that kept turning up. I've got a couple more of his books, but I haven't been able to get into them.

Does anyone else think that it is tacky to troll for donations on threads dealing with people dying, i.e. marines being killed, MD sniper, etc. ?

Help!

Does anyone know how to change the sound that notifies you when you have email? I use Outlook Express 6 and I can't figure it out!

They are hitting all threads.... so no, not really. If all the serious threads are getting the hits... then that is where the ads should run anyway. Maybe especially so.

As far as I know...go to the Start button, then to settings, then to Control Panel. Double-click on Sounds, locate the New Mail Notification event, and use browse to change it to the sound you want.

I don't use Express, but instead the full version of Outlook, and in Outlook you can turn the sound off-on at:

Tools-Options-Preferences-Email-Email Options....
