They were elves once...

ewww... that's not quite what I had in mind, thanks anyway... where's a nice picture of Aragorn when it's needed?
To: Sam Cree
But as of this morning, I have to type in the "http://www." as well or I can't get here.Hmm, that is a weirdness. At a rough guess I would say something may have changed in your preferences or settings or whatever it is Explorer calls them, but I couldn't guess what it would be.
As for the smiley images, just right click the ones you like and then select the option to "save image". That will save a copy of the file to your hard disk; then when you send your daughter an email, attach the file to the email and she'll get a copy of it.

"Hurricane," Winslow Homer, 1898. Obviously a somewhat distant hurricane, but ominous nonetheless.
I'm starting to get a feeling of dread in the back of my mind...

something may have changed in your preferences or settings Except it occurred in 2 separate computers? I can't include the smilies in the actual text of the e-mail?
Thanks, Bear.

Much better, thank you. :)

Only he doesn't look like he's in the mood for hugging.

Except it occurred in 2 separate computers? I can't include the smilies in the actual text of the e-mail? Oh, if that's the case, then something may have changed with your Internet Service Provider... it may not be interpreting the addresses the same way it used to.
Unfortunately, you can't include the smilies in the text of the email, unless you have HTML-encoded email. But, she would be able to view the image files with her web browser or most any graphics program, once she got them.

Speaking of hurricanes, does it look like Lili might be heading your way? It looks now like Isidore will miss Texas and go to New Orleans instead....
To: Bear_in_RoseBear

Is it....huggable?
To: Overtaxed
hmm, that's where he's about to start lopping off orc-heads after Boromir gets thwacked, isn't it?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
I'll just send the whole e-mail as an attachment then ;-)
To: Overtaxed
Oh dear, someone fetch my medicine...that's SOME closeup!
To: Overtaxed
"Only he doesn't look like he's in the mood for hugging."
Yeah, he looks like he's getting ready to kick some butt, something that might need doing around here ;-)

Coming down with the vapors?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yeah, Lilli I'm worrying about.
To: Overtaxed
Air suddenly got thinner all of a sudden

Here's my brilliant idea whilst we all wait for EntMoot in Florida(?) next year. You and I will co-host "Mini-moot" on Cape Hatteras, only it will be called; "Mini-Moot, a Celebration of Elves" complete with Elvish songs and interpretive dance. A way for you to get in touch with your inner elf. I'm even thinking of hiring a Haldir look-a-like (at great personal expense).
To: NewCenturions
All we need is to get him to ditch the elf chick.
