Wow. Gone for a day and had so much to catch up with. Whew. Can't let myself get that far behind again. :-) I checked out the site and liked it. I know htat I am not know to be a big Aragorn fan, but there was enough other stuff on there for me. I have to admit that I don't really like Orlando Bloom, the actor, I prefer Legolas, the character. Thanks for sharing the site.

Good morning everyone. I'm out of regular coffee so I either had to drink flavored coffee...hazelnut creme, or drink tea. I am opting for the tea, so I'm waiting for the pot to whistle.
The garden looks great...all the plants are still there. Last year we would plant rows and rows of plants and go out the next day and they would be gone! Come to find out, gophers were getting them! I saw a cabbage plant disappear slowly down, then the gopher covered up it's hole and you would have never known there was a cabbage there at one time. Almost enough to make you think you hallucinated ever planting!! ;-) Anyway, we wrapped steel wool around the roots before we planted them this year. Hopefully that will keep the gophers from finding them so tasty!
Hmmm...I wonder, "of herbs and stewed gopher"? It has a ring to it!

Morning Hobbits! I had a busy weekend, so I am still trying to get caught up on the weekend's posts. That Eagle-cam is really neat (and fairly addicting).
2JM: The Breaking of the Fellowship occured on Feb 26, and Frodo met up with Faramir on March 7. That makes it just over a week.

Good Morning....! No substitute for coffee in my case...I was out too, but I had to go to the store right away!

So a little over a week of just eating waybread? I think this stew I fixed last night would taste pretty nice! (I assume they had hot cooked camp food along the way, before parting with the Company.)
Although giving the waybread was quite a gift according to The Silmarillion. Apparently Beleg was given some by Melian. It notes that:
"And she gave him a store of lembas, the waybread of the Elves, wrapped in leaves of silver and threads that bound it were sealed at the knots with the seal of the Queen, a wafer of white wax shaped as a single flower of Telperion; for according to the customs of the Eldalie the keeping and giving of lembas belonged to the Queen alone. In nothing did Melian show greater favour to Turin than in this gift; for the Eldar had never before allowed Men to use this waybread, and seldom did so again."

But it was a good line... thanks for it!

So the Elves never shared recipes? I feel another Elf-rant coming on!

Good morning! - Just sipping some coffee and watching the eagles.
Someone sent me a virus. subjec line was "sexy screen saver" or something like that. My PC-Cillan found it an deleted it when it came in.
Be on your guard!

Hey! What are friends for?! (c;

Ahh - Orlando Bloom has grown on me... at first all I could do was stare at the mohawk he had during filming. But I think the mohawk was actually functional to make sure none of his dark sideburns showed in his Legolas wig. And he sure is a hunky guy in the pics... The kind of guy who suddenly takes his shirt off during a party where everyone else is dressed, but hey - at least he has the bod for it.

2494... the magical 2500 right around the corner. Shall Smeagol be very, very good and let someone have it?
To: carton253
But why, it's precious to me.
To: carton253
But Smeagol promised to be very, very good.
To: carton253
But the precious, the precious...
To: carton253
I want it, it's precious to me...
To: carton253
So very precious...
To: carton253
My precious!
