Probably the best exit scene in the story. Gandalf's was more spectacular, but we know it wasn't really an exit scene (SPOILER ALERT!)
Nice work, Luis, but I still wish Chavez had bought the farm in Venezuela.
I found a bunch of my old stuff in a box at my parents house a few weeks back.
Like Fidel, Hugo Chavez now can boast that Venezuela IS his farm.
I'll have to learn as I go.
:-)
I'm hoping for the Houghton Mifflin paperback set for Mother's Day. The Ballantine ones are terrible and I'll start to rant about the maps if I don't watch out and it's late...I don't need to get worked up before bed! ;-)
We actually got a whole lot done.
We would write the music according to the characters, while envisioning who we would like to play the parts.
We ended up with David Bowie playing Golum
"Riddles In The Dark."
It was a lot of fun.
Yes, but 2Jedismom doesn't fix coney stew that often!
I have an idea! When we want to repeat a discussion, why don't we just refer to the post numbers of the old posts, sort of like they do in the British Parliament! 'Mister Speaker, I refer to post #3672 in the original thread!'
I especially like his Section Title "Addictive Hobbity Wrongness" with the cutest little .gif that says "Pervy Hobbit Fancier" (Protected, won't let me link to it)
I think it is a riot. Lots of good Elijah pics... (I hope I have the dream again tonight) And I know Viggo is a photographer, so he probably took many of them.
Also like this quote from the "Cuddly Fellowship Quotes" section:
October 4 2000Hungover...very funny: at lunch we were all wearing black and sunglasses. Rang Mum and Liv when I got in. Viggo left a long message on my machine. He leaves these kind of stream-of-consciousness messages on your machine like "Yeah, this is Viggo, I'm eating chicken, I'm wearing blue trousers, the sun is shining..." I always save the messages.
-DOM (from his diary, excerpt from Mademoiselle, Oct 2001)
OK going back there now... I may be awhile.
But then people would start holding us to the opinions we had the first time around... start comparing "inconsistant prior testimony" and such... could be very ugly.
Well, maybe they could generate an index to all of the LOTR threads, let the computer generate compilations of all of our posts, then supply them to some of the anti-Hobbit posters, to print some of the stuff we put here in the middle of some esoteric arguments we are making about public policy. The mind boggles!
