Put it this way: I needed an escape, and Harry filled the bill.
One of my little piano students loaned me his books. He was so sweet about it (it was his mommy's idea). I thought I would just try the first one, and then tell him I was "too busy" to read the rest, but I became addicted.
I normally read only non-fiction, so this is quite a stretch for me.
I finally talked hubby into seeing FOTR again; we're going tomorrow. FOR SURE THIS TIME.

No, but he was over again last night and I showed him everyone's comments.:)
He now says he wants to read the books again and THEN go. I told him he'd better read fast because I don't know how much longer it's going to be around and he MUST see the theatrical version.
Sounds like he's going to go eventually. Maybe I can talk him into going with us tomorrow, even.

Well, You know that the movie changes some things around a little... he may enjoy it better if the books' details are not fresh in his mind. It may make him more able to let Jackson tell it his way.
