today's total: $87.50. A .22 round costs less than a penny, a .45 I can reload for 7 cents...or $87.50?...man, dogs are lucky we love 'em, or it'd be an easy choice...and make no mistake, I love dogs...right Hair?...

Do you remember how to pronounce Feadóg? I haven't a clue!

Oops, snack's over. My time is up. Later all...

Well, it does itch, but itching is different than pain. I am guessing he might be flopping his head a lot and rubbing it on things.
Logan the labrador has had them somewhat often his entire life. I buy the ear cleaner by the gallon, and the yeast medicine in the big bottle, just so I have it on hand. He gets it nearly every time he swims in fresh water.

Good morning!
Corin, your dog sounds really cute.
Big dogs always seem to have trouble remembering that they're not puppies any more, don't they?
To: RosieCotton
They pronounce it "Fuh-doughg" on the CD I got with my first one. The "dough" is pronounced like bread dough and the g on the end is soft.
To: g'nad
I am not even gonna answer that.

I am not even gonna answer that. I said I love dogs, what's wrong with that?...My Rott set me back over a grand fer back surgery...course I was deployed at the time...

I am guessing he might be flopping his head a lot and rubbing it on things. The Boston Terrier I had growing up would do the same things... she always had an ear infection of some sort, probably just what you're describing. She'd try to scratch her ear with her hind paw a lot, too. We kept a big bottle of powder that we'd blow into her ear to try and treat it. It never seemed to bother her hearing, though, so I guess it was more annoying to her than harmful.

Hullo! Good morning g'nad!
One should not compare vet costs to the cost of cartridges

They pronounce it "Fuh-doughg" on the CD I got with my first one. OK, thanks! I knew I had it wrong...I was guessing maybe "fay uh DOUGHG".
To: RosieCotton
You did better than me! Before hearing it on the CD, I pronounced it Fee-uh-Dog.

I really wonder sometimes who decided on the spelling for Gaelic...some of the words make NO sense!
One of my brothers wants to learn (some) Gaelic. I might join him, though it seems like a REALLY tough language to learn.

Hey, I'm a practical guy...I was pointing out that if dogs (and horses) were strictly utilitarian and made no bond with people, then they'd be treated like cattle...But we love the animals we choose for companions, and will go to great expense and effort to care for them...We will neglect ourselves before our animal friends...Noble, irrational, and completely human...at least on this continent...

Untreated it can become a batcerial infection too which becomes painful and hot...
Corin, as a cheaper alternative to the ear wash they will sell you, you can mix one part white vinegar and three parts water and wash with that.
I use both... I use a combination. When Logans ears are bad, or when he has just been swimming, I wash his ears out good with the vinegar water, by good, I mean I use a lot of it and get all the gunk out, then I follow with a bit of the blue cleaner, which has an agent in it which helps it dry out again (alcohol probably). I don't use so much of the spendy stuff that way.
