I think that sounds like a perfectly horrible idea Corin!

Uhhhh....pretty much the same thing I'm wearing now. Jeans and T shirt.

I think that sounds like a perfectly horrible idea Corin!Wouldn't be hard in my case...I was about twelve and wore pretty much the same stuff I do now - jeans and t-shirts.
Now, if it had to be the same SIZE I'd be in trouble!

Good morning everyone.
You know, from the first post yesterday morning to the last post last night, we had 496 messages posted yesterday. Amazing!
I wore jeans and plain shirts when I first read LOTR, and still do. I'm getting a picture of a rather relaxed bunch of people here... not that I didn't already know that. ;)
Hope everyone has a good day!

I just put the English Subtitles on and they are great! I think I may keep them on! (I'm very hard of hearing and it would help!)

I'm getting a picture of a rather relaxed bunch of people here... Well yeah, I try to be as relaxed as possible. But anyone who dresses up to work with concentrated acids and other nasty chemicals has more money than they do sense!

'Mornin' Bear!
It's a pleasant overcast day here today...the ground is still soaking wet from the rains the other day and my rutabagas have grown an inch!

I know I am a little behind but what exactly is this session at Entmoot? I tried keeping up yesterday, but didn't have enough time with all the other things I needed to get done yesterday.
I don't remember what I was wearing when I first read LOTR, but I know it won't be too out of fashion. It was only about a year ago that I first read it. Well, I did try and read it when I was in high school, but never got past the chapters right before Tom Bombadil etc. Does that count?

I think that sounds like a perfectly horrible idea Corin! Okay, I give up. You don't want formal wear, you don't want 70s wear...I'll stop making suggestions!

Oh! - we are planning a get-together of all of us around the release of Return of the King next year. We still don't know exactly when or where, or really what. We are talkin' about the options!

I know I am a little behind but what exactly is this session at Entmoot? Nah, you haven't missed anything. I'm just daydreaming 'cause I'm absolutely worthless at work today...

I just wanna wear my sword. I am limited in clothes that really "go" with that accessory!

Have you heard from the Gathering people?
To: HairOfTheDog
How about Arizona? Ok so I am partial to AZ. Any excuse to visit AZ, is fine by me. :)
To: 2Jedismom
"the Gathering people" sounds like a wacky cult doesn't it? LOL!
No - no word. They are probably discussing whether they want us around!
To: htur_75
Well, we hadn't discussed Arizona, but it is out there now for discussion. I will say if I were ever to visit AZ again, it would be in the winter!
So far we have discussed Wash DC, San Fransisco, Vegas, Colorado somewhere, Florida somwhere, and discussed just joining in with this other "Gathering" that will be a bigger deal put together by the "other" LOTR Websites. They still haven't decided their location. There is a link to it up thread somewhere.

Here is a link to the big event.... I sent a note to them yesterday telling them about us and exploring whether we should get involved in it.

How about Arizona? I love the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Tuscon is cool too.

I will say if I were ever to visit AZ again, it would be in the winterIf you do visit AZ in the summer don't go to Phoenix, go to Flagstaff. MUCH cooler even in the summer. In the mountains. Snow in the winter. Beautiful, and I miss it.

I was born in Show Low... High in the mountains... Folks lived in Tempe too...
