Which brother? The one that posts here? If so, we have just got to get he and Jen together!! She needs someone that knows how to play a whistle, don't you agree, OT?
To: Overtaxed
I don't think I could reach the holes on a low whistle. It's definitely different, or so he says...you use the pads of your fingers (held kind of flat) instead of the tips. But it's similar to the way bagpipes are played and he plays those, too, so I guess not as strange for him.

We should be able to organize something for the Entmoot 2004, don't you think?Would be fun, wouldn't it?
What was the CD you were mentioning? I didn't catch it.

We should be able to organize something for the Entmoot 2004, don't you think? Let's see two tin whistles and a guitar/mandolin. Add in ecurbh on the trombone, and I'll get back to the piano and do something on the keyboard (I should be able to pull that off in two years...)
Think we should let g'nad sing? Is his range close to Enya's?
It's the Entmoot 04 Orchestra!
To: 2Jedismom
Which brother? The one that posts here?Well...no, but that one DOES play tin whistle once in a while...
Actually, he's the REAL mandolinist of the family. (I only picked it up a year ago.) And plays some guitar, too.

She needs someone that knows how to play a whistle, don't you agree, OT? Yes. And I suppose he should like elves too.

It's definitely different, or so he says...you use the pads of your fingers (held kind of flat) instead of the tips I have to stretch to reach the bell note on the C. Short stubby fingers, dontcha know.

Let's see two tin whistles and a guitar/mandolin. Add in ecurbh on the trombone, and I'll get back to the piano and do something on the keyboard (I should be able to pull that off in two years...) I could drag in one of my sister and we'd have a violin/fiddle.

Yes, I can see him playing a mean mandolin!
He says his picture on his profile is a "disgruntled-looking self portrait" but I disagree. I've always thought he was a dashing young man, from that picture.
To: Overtaxed
Make that "one of my sisters". Duh
To: Overtaxed
Yes. And I suppose he should like elves too.LOL! Yes, I suppose that would be a nessessity...
To: RosieCotton; Ladysmith
It's called a "Piper's Grip" and I'm too intimidated by it to try it! I just started learning in May! OT and I got into it at about the same time. Now Ladysmith is too...
How's it going, Ladysmith?
To: Overtaxed
I could drag in one of my sister and we'd have a violin/fiddle.I have one sister, one brother, and a Dad who all play fiddle. ;-) And I'm learning...maybe by 2004 I'll be good enough to play in semi-public?
To: 2Jedismom
Hello?
[glancing around in an empty room...wondering if g'nad killed the thread...]
To: 2Jedismom
I've always thought he was a dashing young man, from that picture.Hm...well, he's my brother, so I can't say anything for or against, right? One thing the picture DOESN'T show is how TALL he is! He'll be the Ent at Entmoot, if he shows up. (He's 6'5".)
To: Corin Stormhands
It's the Entmoot 04 Orchestra! And maybe we can get Htur to dust off the cello...
To: RosieCotton
WOW! That is tall!
I bet if we had an Entmoot, we'd all have a blast. Maybe we should make it a FR-Wide deal...promote it and eveything and actually rent a facility. Then if people wanted to drink they could, but the emphysis would be on this being a family event...if that's ok with the single people...
To: ksen
35 is a good age.
Happy birthday and best wishes.
To: ecurbh
Oh yeah...cellos are so cool! This could be outrageously fun.
To: 2Jedismom
LOL! We'd rival the Mayberry band.
What'd you stop us for, Andy? We were going real good that time!
