I have run out of time for shopping and researching and things! I am coming home with a DVD player, for good or ill!!

The boys and I are going to see the movie again! I said I was going and both boys started shouting they wanted to go too, so I said ok! Josh'll just fall asleep anyway, but I get so few chances to hold him while he sleeps that it's a pleasure.

I am coming home with a DVD player, for good or ill!! Well, all-righty then. I'm going to go make second breakfast... eggs over easy, sausage patties, and toast, mmmmm... maybe I'll have some toast and jam! Apple and strawberry jam... or raspberry, or grape jelly... decisions, decisions...

Woohoo!! I just got word that Amazon has shipped my DVD this morning!! And on top of that, they cut the price by $2, so I upgraded the shipping to UPS 2nd Day. Should be here Tuesday!!
To: ecurbh
Best price locally is $14.99 (Limit ONE per person per promotional period).
To: ecurbh
Woo hoo! - I gotta buy that thing...
I am just thinking I can pick it up at blockbuster on Tuesday... am I crazy?
To: HairOfTheDog
Not at all, in fact it may be even cheaper, since you wouldn't have to pay shipping charges. The main reason I go with Amazon is that there are are not many good stores around here, so the lack of competition tends to make things more expensive.
Well, I am off to the concert now. Later.

If you want firecrackers, you'd better pick a state where they're still legal!Another + for Florida. We have two big firework outlets right in town that are open year round. ;^)

They're legal in Texas too! Not sure about Oklahoma.
I guess if we had to, we could drive to Florida by way of Arkansas, Tenessee, and Georgia. Is Georgia pretty safe to drive through?
We don't fly any more, and I won't drive through Louisiana, Alabama, or Mississippi.

Is Georgia pretty safe to drive through? As far as I know. I've only driven through it once on my way from NH to here. I made it through without a hitch. ;^)

Come to think about it, the DVD player probably has an S connection. If you're computer has one (probably) all you have to do is get the cable to hook up to the DVD player that's hooked up to the TV.

We're home! Joshua made it to the Argonath before falling asleep on my lap!
To: 2Jedismom
LOL. Sis and I watched the bootleg this afternoon. I think she's coming around. She's a Tolkien purist. Likes all the sets in the movie, especially the Argonath.

I won't drive through Louisiana, Alabama, or Mississippi. Well these aren't my favorite states, but what is so bad about them? Trips to Florida from the west are pretty difficult if you won't take I-10 or I-20!!

Beautiful sunrise, OT, for some reason it took a couple of minutes before it displayed for me. I hope that this is not another computer problem!
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Uh oh...you just can't crash before Tuesday!
To: Overtaxed
Sunrise at Nags Head Two short weeks from today I'll be viewing that in person...that is if I can get my lazy backside out of bed to view the sunrise...But I'll be in Nags Head for a week...whohoo!
To: Overtaxed; Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Uh oh...you just can't crash before Tuesday! I second that notion LCS! Be very careful!
I am back... with the new DVD player... bought a Phillips that was in about the 60th percentile price-wise... None there would play my disk. I didn't really expect them to. The DVD player does have an S video port OT, you are right. They didn't have the cord there though... Have to get it later.
Spent a little while looking at new TVs... The guy told me I could have the $10,000 enormous flat-screen TV on credit for $300 down! BWWWWAAAAH! He had such hope in his eyes... - Kill me now before I try to make the man happy!
Then I went to blockbuster and got the FoTR DVD and 10-week rental card! - Can pick it up Tuesday! - I got the clerk to admit that not only were the DVD's sitting in a box in the back, but she even went on to say she already had her copy at home! Sneak!
Rented "A Beautiful Mind" with my free rental card... Soon as I can get this thing hooked up, I will see what all the fuss was about with that movie.

Uh oh...you just can't crash before Tuesday!Tell it to this @#%@#**&&& computer of mine. My upgrade even takes precedence over getting a DVD player!!
To: Corin Stormhands
Posted that with you in mind.
I'll be in Nags Head for a week...whohoo!
Lucky Dwarf!
