"I did actually make note of that after consuming a large soda "

That's true. You'd think that after 3 hours, some of the characters would have to go. It sure was a consideration for the audience.

Do you notice that in Middle Earth folk don't even go to the bathroom?

Guess that's why we never saw outhouses in Rivendell. Just think....they'd use the star of Earendil instead of the crescent moon. :)

I don't particularly remember who was involved in the earlier discussion with this person... but anyone feel like reading a book and then being told by PJ-Comix what to think about it?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/719244/posts

I am about to post to the thread....

Good morning everyone

Had the longest night of sleep I've had in a long time last night, nearly 10 hours. For some reason, it's put me in a bad mood... too much energy, I think. I need to direct it somewhere productive, but I'm not sure where.

> anyone feel like reading a book and then being told by PJ-Comix what to think about it?

Good Lord, are you trying to make me burst a blood vessel? Just reading his intro, uhm, ticked me off.

Well, everyone have a good day... I'm going to take my attitude and point it somewhere it might do some good. Later!

I did point him to Mervyn Peake in a post a couple of weeks ago; I wonder if he ever followed up on it? He seemed interested....

I still don't gronk why it didn't work the first time but I got a solid 6hrs sleep. Got in from church a while ago and have put 4 dozen ears of fresh corn in the freezer.

Drop over for late lunch. Corn on the cob, tomato wedges, chicken-fried steak, gravy and mashed potatoes (sp?).

I'll prolly nap this afternoon. :-}

I tell ya, even though I routinely would take care of >100 year old patients in the hospital here in Oklahoma, 89 and unable to walk without assistance is too old to be on a tractor!

I know, bless 'em! It almost helps me forgive all those elderly that voted for Clinton. Their judgement had to be impaired.

It's like my mom, though...you can't tell her not to drive (and she's not even that old, she's just used to driving in a small town, not major traffic like in Tulsa). She just gets in the car and drives at a crawl down the interstate, or runs over the curb because someone is passing her in the left hand lane going the same way!

She drove me to the doctor when I was having all that testing on my heart...I thought I might surely have a heart attack!

I predict the best price will be around $17.88 (what I paid for The Royal Tenenbaums).

The best deal I've seen is the Blockbuster deal. For about $25.00 you buy the card, get a movie a week for the next 10 weeks and get the DVD when it comes out. Barnes & Noble has some deal going on too, but not as good as the Blockbuster.

I did actually make note of that after consuming a large soda with my popcorn during the movie and had to get up and miss some of it!

My son started out the first time with the "Big Gulp" version (you know the one that costs $19.95). When we saw it again, he went one size down...The third time he didn't get a drink...

Nope, if it's a book he's picking, I already have a fairly strong opinion of "See Spot Run." I don't need my opinions shaped by a faux intellectual.
