but isn't that basically like eating a bowl of salt?

I'll have to check the nutritional info on the package again, but I don't recall excessive salt content. It tasted real gooooood.....

It's hot here too, I can't find one that looks like it has a hose... Plenty of smileys hosing each other down with machine gun fire...

I've checked another package at home, and you're right... that little bowl has 60% of the USDA recommended dailry requirement for sodium. It's not a big issue for me (no high blood pressure) but it sure could be one for someone who did have high blood pressure.

Rented a movie last night, Army of Darkness, liked it. At the end, the protagonist picked up a rifle that holds 5 shots in the magazine and fired about a dozen rounds with it, rapid fire. But who cares, it was a good movie.

Maybe it was a bad movie, but I liked it. Come to think of it, I like The Long Kiss Goodnight also. I like in that one that, when they run over a deer with a Volvo, the Volvo blows up.

Oh, that's a classic "bad" movie, I've seen it a few times and enjoyed it! Some very silly parts, and some nice action scenes too.

You made the commitment, so I say yuh need to be there...

You Marines and your &%$#@*& honor...actually it wasn't that bad. A few folks did get grossed out at the looks of my toe (it wanted to wear sandals to breathe...).

I really don't mind doing stuff like that. I'm just a little less interested when my kid isn't on the team. But the older one was out of town and Mom was having a night out with a friend's birthday. So it was okay (little one went to the neighbor's).

I would have written you a note:

See, I know who my friends are.

That Road to Perdition movie sounds interesting, but it seems to be about Irish gangsters. As I am 1/4 Irish, I prefer movies about Italian gangsters. Irish gangsters always seem pretty morose, and the Italians make better spaghetti sauce!

Corin, don't go near the water.

Actually one of the judges did fall in tonite. Although it was hot enough I'm not so sure it was an accident.

At no other time do I push my kids off on the church (and rarely even my own parents) just so I can do my own thing.

I wouldn't say we push our kids off on the church or family. But we used those resources at times to 1) get away as a couple or 2) follow through with our commitments to certain aspects of our ministry at church. But we try to be sensitive to family needs and in certain seasons we'll take time off from those too.

You're right, it is about Irish gangsters, although there really wasn't anyone very morose in the movie. They did have a wake early on though, with a lot of nice Irish music.

Just drink plenty of water (which isn't a problem for you right?). I usually just worry about sugar content and the number of calories.

Glad you like it too...I son't watch that many movies, so I'm pleased when I find one that I like.

Well, good night all.

No problem for me, that's true! I was surprised to see that the Uncle Ben's bowl had fewer calories and less fat content than the similar sized Lean Cuisine bowl. Congratulations on losing weight, by the way! I know how tough that can be, believe me.

I guess I got the wrong idea from the dialogue and atmosphere in the trailers being shown on the TV. If they aren't showing the Irish gangsters crying in their beer, maybe I will check it out.

It does have a very dark mood to it, but despite the subject matter very few tears are shed... and the tears that are shed, are shed in manly stoicism.
