Me too. The chicken is almost ready to come off the grill and it's about time for the pre-race show.

what kind of a car would a Dwarf drive? Something solid, dependable, capable of enduring tough journeys... some kind of off-road vehicle maybe?
I'm really really gone now!

Hello ALL! - Back from beach house.... Got too much sun, dogs are worn out from runnin'! You know - had a good time! House needs cleaning, but I think I will sit for a while first!
To: Sam Cree
I am very happy with AT&T... Connection is very fast, very reliable... except for my bad DNS juju, which may either be them or me, we aren't really sure. I would get another hobby before going back to dialup... It is that much better. Especially here, where my phone line gets me about 38K.
It costs about $45... and they provided the cable modem free.

Legolas: Something is crossing the road. I can feel itLOL maq! - Hello there!
I was out - at the beach and disconnected for 24 hours! Thanks for the fodder! Back now and catching up on the news... Trying to find out how Sunday has been... Anything happening?

Hello all! - All caught up on Hobbit Hole news now... Anyone around?
I have a sensible small 4X4 pickup, as I think a good hobbit should... good for hauling things.
I wish I had a big truck, and my next vehicle will certainly be a big truck, so I can get a horse trailer and not always be bummin rides for my horse.
I think a Beetle is a fairly cute vehicle for a hobbit lass, if she doesn't need to haul things (How would you get the christmas tree home?)
I think dwarves drive jeeps.

Do you already have to have cable?
Glad you had a nice time at the beach. Is it beautiful out there?
To: Sam Cree
No, you don't already have to have cable. It is a separate cable in from the street than my TV cable, and a separate bill.
It is beautiful at the beach... My brother's place is actually jointly owned by me, my father, and my brother through inheritance and other investment. It was an old house that my grandparents had, that we grew up visiting as kids... We did an extensive remodel on it. I took some pictures - gotta unload them from the camera and update my page... there are a few I want to share.
To: HairOfTheDog
That sounds lovely. My brothers and I still own the farm we grew up on, though our parents are passed away. It's a beautiful spot, I feel that much of my strength and soul is drawn from there.
How are the ATT techs? Earthlinks are not so hot.
Now that my daughter (not the earthlink techs) has got my system up and running I may stay with it for a while. But I don't have confidence that they can solve any future problems. + they don't seem that nice anymore.

Hi, and welcome back!
I'm here for a little while, while I eat lunch/second breakfast (omelette with a side of bacon and toast). Have to leave in the next half hour, though.
I think dwarves drive jeeps.
I was thinking of suggesting a Humvee for Dwarves... g'nad would probably like that.
To: Sam Cree
It is lovely...
AT&T techs are both great and horrid, depends on who you get. My DNS issue has been a complex one to figure out, so I have dealt with all levels. Unless you have my trouble, you shouldn't ever have to deal with them! The network itself is pretty stable.
Well, for lack of a better idea, I think I am going to go hit the couch for a bit of a nap! Talk to you later!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
g'nad would probably like that, except hummers are so big! - Not good in tight places.
To: HairOfTheDog
Not good in tight places. Well, that's true... wouldn't be very good in a mine, I suppose.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Jeeps for the tight work, perhaps hummers for the open road, those long journeys to the mountains in the west!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Well, there's plenty of room in Moria for a whole division of humvees. I agree that dwarfs would like them, and probably would enjoy tanks, too.

Uhh....I think something in between. I usually haul groceries, trash, and garden stuff. Nothing I need a truck for and stuff that won't fit in a Beetle.
To: Overtaxed
How about one of those new PT Cruisers? They are as cute as a Bug, and have some room for your stuff!
To: HairOfTheDog
I'll have to check them out although I don't do "cute".

Just a note to say that I have just gotten my computer working again. I look forward to reading up on the Hobbit Hole and other LOTR threads, along with resuming my FR activism.

Welcome back! Now if we can get Penny's connection straightened out we can start the official TTT discussion hint hint hint
