Wow... my spirits are lifted, and now I'm ready to go forth and greet the workday ahead!
My small mind is easily amused, isn't it?
And just in time, because works beckons... later all!

That remark I made about dwarf feet reminded me of part of a song that was on a 45 my mom bought me when I was a kid. I forget the name of the song but it was on the "B" side of the record. The "A" side had this song called
L.A. International Airport.
Here is the piece of the "B"side song that I remember:
Remember to think about hearing dwarf footsteps during this
"Oh! The pitty-pitty patter of a little-bitty feet's,
gonna pitty-pitty patter through our house!"
*bow* *bow* Thank you, thank you, please no applause, just send money. ;^)

Yes he does look all ready for an interview!
But some guy was on the bridge... not letting anyone pass...
He missed the appointment.
To: HairOfTheDog
At least he didn't show up reeking of gasoline!

Good morning. I know I am a little slow with posting this morning. Late night and early morning. Couldn't sleep. Hate it when that happens. GV's interview went well. We'll know by the end of the week. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. I see ecurb returned last night. I am glad.

Looks like that 45 was by Susan Raye, "L.A. International Airport" and "Pitty Pitty Patter". Thank you, Google. "L.A. International Airport" was a big country hit, by the way, but I'm not sure if the hit version was by Susan Raye (her name isn't familiar to me).

Better reeking than never?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Now I'm really, really, gone. Honest.

Hullo! Good morning! - I feel a little slow. I couldn't sleep either because it was hot.
Glad the interview when well! - Hope he gets it!
To: HairOfTheDog
Better than reeking havoc.
I'll see what other bad puns I can come up with!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Thanks for getting the name of that woman. ;^)
I don't why but I distinctly remember that day. I couldn't have been over 7 or 8 years old. It's kind of funny now that I think of it because she bought me the Susan Raye one and one by Steppenwolf with "Magic Carpet Ride" on it.
It's a wonder I've survived this long. ;^)

I had an interesting thought just now. I am sure that this has probably been discussed before, but I want to say it. The exact words of the beginning of the first amendment are:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
My thought is this. Isn't it interesting when people against Christianity will claim the first amendment says that law can't respect the establishment of religion. However, they fail to recognize that the second part of that says OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEROF. They are quick to say that law can't respect an establishment of religion, but fail to say anything about prohibiting my free exercise. This whole thing with the "Under God" thing has made me think more about my rights and refresh what I have learned in school about the constitution. Had to share.

Thanks. Me too. I will keep you all informed.

Those are some good thoughts htur_75. It is quite funny (funny strange, not funny haha) how the second part of that sentence is never mentioned, or if it is then it is glossed over.
I was listening to a radio preacher the other day. He was speaking about America's Christian heritage. He made an ineteresting point, which was that when George Washington was President he ended his official letters, and private for all I know, with "In the year of Our Lord 18XX."
Then along comes Thomas Jefferson. The man famous for the "separation of Church and State" line and for ripping all of the miraculous happenings out of his Bible. Thomas Jefferson changed the tradition of President's ending their letter with "In the Year of Our Lord 18XX." Thomas Jefferson changed that phrase, he changed it to "In the Year of Our Lord Jesus Christ."
So much for the secularist's argument that Jefferson was an agnostic, or at best a deist.

Good job Bear! Congrats!
I was off on idjit patrol again. I've had about all I'm gonna take. Just emailed the big boss (he's a friend of mine from several years back, and new here since March) and let him know "we need to talk."
It's one thing when there's a lot of work to be done. It's another when the idjits are too stoopid to let you do your job.
I know part of it is the mood of the office. The Director's assistant has breast cancer (for the second time) and is not doing well at all. She's been in and out of the hospital and her white cell count is really low. Plus our PR director is going thru radiation treatments for throat cancer. He looks so bad we're afraid to ask him how things are going. And our Internal Auditor just found out this a.m. she does NOT have MS - but she still has the symptoms that made the Dr. think that.
I think I need to get out of this building...
