Hullo all...
Had a great weekend with the kids and friends...made "theboy" an arsenal of wooden weapons...his favorite are his axes (go figure)...made him a couple of stout hand-and-a-half swords out of 1"x4"...the axes were cut out of 1/4" plywood with double-reinorced shafts...those things can do some damage...as I placed into my eager 4-year-olds hands, a voice in my said, "what are you doing!?!?"...I just know I'm gonna hear about this...

Well the lamps are definately goin' down.
I think it is cool... My brother and I used to make really cool sutff with my Grandpa in his shop... He would let us make anything we wanted.

I broke down and made him a shield (plywood, web belts for straps, rivets...) because he really wanted one...I told him real men carry weapons you use with two hands... sneakin’…

My Grandsons, 11 and 13 and here for the summer, will put on a midevial tournament at the drop of a hat. So far it has only been coreagraphed sword play. Can only imagine what it would be if I added shields and axes. Grammie would have a heart attack.

Update:
Ring destroyed.
Aragorn crowned king.
Sharkey ousted from the Shire.
Frodo, Bilbo, and Gandalf sailed off to the west.
Now listening to "Concerning Hobbits" and picturing OT and 2JM playing their whistles.
May have to start "The Hobbit" tomorrow. I hear that Bilbo finds something peculiar during that adventure.

No..................film at eleven. ;^) Ooh - I want to see the film! Show it! Show it!
We know there is film... Blast these honorable film staff! Can you imagine, Return of the Kings has been shot. There are images around of Aragorn the King... Frodo's final climb to Mount Doom... Egads... When will the leaks begin? There haven't been ANY leaks from RoTK... It feels like it hasn't even been filmed yet.
