I plan on installing Ubuntu on a spare PC in the next week. This will be the first time working with Linux.
I see the advantages of both terminal and GUI for Linux and Windows. It depends on the application.
For me, anything that requires using a long path name is better with a GUI than a terminal.

Being that you totally disrupted a thread that I had made, you have no room to speak or complain.
And apologies for bringing up something totally unrelated to your great threads.
There was a reason the GUI was so welcomed.
Command line apps have been silly for 40 years. Why memorize commands and parameters or have to type in help? A GUI presents all options immediately. It even combines commands so the constant typing and time delays are reduced to nothing.
I used a Linux terminal until I retired. Our mainframe was Redhat. I wrote scripts in a Windows editor and pasted it into vi. Same with crons.
See how selfish you are... You did not disrupt one of MY threads in retaliation, you selfishly brought an argument between you and I into and stomped on OTHER MEMBER’S threads and disrupted them for no cause or reason whatsoever.
