You persist in unilevel thinking, Obviously Art of War is lost on you. What you say is what you want heard, for your own purposes (or the Country’s). Causing opponents to underestimate you is a potent strategy.
The important consideration is how to put America first. American exists in a world. Other countries have a profound effect on America’s safety, security, prosperity and potential. President Trump needs to keep all those factors in mind as well as domestic issues. He is not just focused on today but on the best path for the future success of America as we all should be.
I cite actual facts. All you do is toss out personal slights.
Sorry. I see no facts nor have I insulted or disparaged you. The truth is never an insult.
Your take on Trump is an opinion not a fact and it is an opinion that ignores history, prior Trump statements or any input from Trump’s books and his reliance on Art of War in negotiations.
Why would it be an insult to bring up these pertinent factors and your lack of consideration of them in forming and sharing an opinion?
If he's running again in a Democrat district, I say good luck. He's more a Democrat of old than the left wing zealots running that party today. Kinda like a Fetterman.
“nor have I insulted or disparaged you”

Really? When you say some of the things below a reasonable person would consider them dismissive, if not disparaging. Your words, not mine:
“This is a joke”
“You persist in unilevel thinking”
“Obviously Art of War is lost on you”
“What you say is what you want heard”
I don’t view those as insults. I try to be constructive as shown by my taking the time to explain why the statement was ludicrous. Were I given those comments I would have researched The Art of War. I would not have been insulted.
We judge others by ourselves.
“What you say is what you want heard” refers to Trump or anyone who is in the midst of a strategic negotiation. Statements are often made to obfuscate, misdirect, cause a perception. Trump excels at that skill, as does any successful diplomat. His interaction with Mamdani was an opportunity to size Mamdani up, see how he responds, what his weaknesses are and areas where pressure will be fruitful. It was also an opportunity to set Mamdani up for future interactions by manipulating his perceptions of Trump. Surely Mamdani is playing the same game but with much less experience and ability.
“I don’t view those as insults.”

I didn’t think you would.
Some people like honest give and take. Some don’t.
Freegards!
Side shows go on and distractions are for all.
How many times has Trump said “I DO”?
