It is a Morning Consult poll. Read the whole thing. The handle in question is an X account that reports all polls of any kind.
Some of it is coming, but hardly all of it. It takes years to plan factories, locations, approvals, etc.
It takes 10 years to build a chip factory.
This thread is the latest reminder that Free Republic ISN’T the place to find well-reasoned and logical discussions of economics LOL.
In addition, we don’t have the energy for AI data centers. Many of the plans to build them are on hold until we find the energy.
Just regular data centers in one county in Virginia consumes 30% of all energy in the state.
Trump is banking on this guy who is developing small nuclear power plants the size of a container. The first one is supposed to go online in June 2026. It will take many thousands of these small plants all across the country.

I hope that’s right (and the economy comes up a bit). The poll I watched on Fox yesterday was not so encouraging.
The inflation rate has cooled, but most prices are, on an absolute level, very high. My wife’s health care premium entirely ate her salary increase. :-(

The inflation RATE is down. Taken all in all, price levels are slightly up*, under Trump, and Biden left us with VERY high prices*.
*A big problem is that the inflation rate numbers reported by the gov’t simply don’t correlate well with the reality most consumers see. They # are too low. There was some Ex-Obama advisor who actually did a pretty honest study of this late in the Biden Administration, because he couldn’t figure out why people were still screaming about price increases when the numbers had come down. The problem is not Administration specific: I think the guy went back at least to 2000, and his results were pretty consistent. So, it’s just the way the bureaucrats who are in the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics collect and interpret the data.
(I keep having this little vision of LBJ thundering at some accountant type guy “I want lower inflation numbers, dammit!!” And lower numbers he got.)

47 becomes powerless to enact any bills;
Media covers 47 and VP’s impeachment and removal;
Supreme Court packed;
DC, PR, Guam admitted as new states;
Permanent Democrat rule established;
Border opened to all comers - no vetting;
Cartels take over most US cities;
US officially becomes 3rd world country as poverty becomes the norm.
None of that will happen.
