That won't due much unless we cut the meat—Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid.
While we're at it, we need to cut defense too.

You are right. Our parents lived through the depression so they knew really hard times. Today’s young have no idea what real poverty is.
If you cant see that the politicians are the major cause of this I cant help you. The social security “issue” has been the can that has been kicked down the road forever.
We were in our early 20’s when we started hearing that social security would not be there for us when we retired. So we scrimped and saved and did without to carve out a retirement plan for us.
The government is solely to blame for this. Name one program that is run as advertised.

You can’t take your wealth to the grave. You either spend it or it goes to another generation.
