Just remember Fridays in the Fall are Big Orange shirt day. You can wear them any time but Fall Fridays the shirt is mandatory. Also never ever ever say anything bad about a guy named Peyton or a lady named Dolly.
I plan on fleeing to WV someday.
Right now though, I’m stuck.
Welcome. I avoid Germantown. Way too many Karens. Hobby Lobby for the wife now and then though.
Congrats!!!
PING!
Good decision. Did you stop at the Buccee’s on I-40?
RE: ILLINOIS
We’re stuck here unfortunately.
:-(
Highly envious from Hellifornia…
For work, I relocated to California when George Deukmejian was still governor, then Pete Wilson.
I suffered through Gray Davis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and began planning my departure when Jerry Brown became governor for the second time.
Fortunately, I was able to get a company relocation back to Texas before Gavin Newsom took over.
My one claim to shame was having to choose between between newcomer Eric Swalwell and the senile Pete Stark as my last vote in the brand new "top two" election system before leaving California. Nobody knew at the time that the former Dublin city councilman would turn into the creep that he's become.

Congratulations.
We will be out of here asap.

Dug in here in north Idaho in 1998. Refugee from the ongoing collapse in the Puget Sound area. Congratulations on your escape. Just stay away from Memphis.
I still live in HELLINIOS, MY REPUBLICAN REPRESENTATIVE MIKE Coffey voted Yes to a Bill that makes Illinois landlords into CRIMINALS if they don’t rent their empty apts to illegal aliens. Landlords can be charged with CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATIONS. That’s how stupid some of these American traitors are.
Welcome!
We did the CA-to-TN move in 2010.
“I’ve always thought Tennessee was one of the most beautiful states in our country!”
We agree! I’m from rural western NY at the PA border — “Southern Tier”. Every season of the year is stunningly beautiful. We considered retiring there where we have roots from the mid-1700s. Then came the truth about taxes!
Visited east TN in 2007, and if you didn’t know better you’d believe it was “home”. Landscape is the same. People are the same. Politics are the same. In fact, I’ve seen more Confederate flags back home in NY than I’ve ever seen in TN.
Hubby was lucky to get a job in the Knoxville area, so the company moved us here in 2010. Retired a few years later. It is gorgeous — except the NY autumn is MUCH more colorful than TN.
We did NY to Fl plus home school🇱🇷🙏
Excellent sir, looking forward to the day myself!
“Just remember Fridays in the Fall are Big Orange shirt day.”
LOL! That is so TRUE.
The first Friday after we moved here we were shopping at Home Depot. Of course, we knew that HD employees wore orange. But when we asked for help, nobody would help us! That’s when we learned about Friday fashion, especially if there’s a game later.
(I hate orange.)
WV is beautiful! That is on the route we take from TN to NY.
Sevierville? Crossville? Or would those be too far east?
