Robin Hood is a fictional character and the story is fictional... So I have no problem with the character’s being any ethnicity that the recreator of this story chooses.

What I do have a problem with is making people from recorded history different ethnicities than they actually were... That is completely ridiculous.

The sad thing is that, if understood and told correctly as a struggle against adversity, there is a great deal in the history of Black America that would make inspiring movies of wide appeal. Years ago, Glory did that based on a courageous black regiment in the Civil War. Yet courage, resilience, and accomplishment are not just generally out of favor with the Hollywood Left but contradict their perennial message of oppression and misery as the eternal condition of black Americans.
