When the family took over the catalog at last, they dumped the three or so posthumous releases and started to put out different posthumous releases that supposedly reflected his plans. I’ve long figured that eventually they’d release revived and remastered versions of the long-unavailable titles. The first one was “Cry of Love”, and along with “Rainbow Bridge” it has been the one I’ve played the most, and to my ear the most coherent of all of his albums, and my favorite. Used CDs are out there (mine is, uh, around here somewhere), people, but while you search, you can find the entire contents on YouTube I’m sure. I just listened to “Night Bird Flying” for the first time in a long while.
