My God may prevent a heart attack or stroke, and He may not.
Either way, I am at peace with Him and “Even though He slay me, yet will I trust Him”. I have chosen Whom I will serve.
The last time I saw a physician was about 2004, when I sprained and ankle. I was concerned it may be more than just a sprain, so I had it X-rayed. They gave me a prescription for crutches and pain reliever. I bought the crutches, but left the pain reliever unfilled.
In 1992, I had a catfish embed its fin into the palm of my hand. I wasn’t able to remove it, so I had an ER doctor pull it out and flush the wound.
About 1980, I was playing in the junk yard with my cousin and fell onto a rusty car frame, busting my head open. My parents took me to the ER, where they cleaned and stitched me up.
That is the entirety of my life’s interaction with physicians. What about you? How much do you trust in the hand of man?
I saw you chide someone upthread for “putting words in your mouth”, but you have no qualms putting words in mine. The title of this thread is “I Don’t Trust Doctors”. Because I don’t trust something doesn’t mean I hate it. I think it would be safe to infer that you don’t feel the same way. You seem to equate not trusting with hating. You may hate God because you don’t trust him, but you shouldn’t ascribe your illogic to others.
Oh, no worries. It’s not a big deal but I did feel talked down to though I see now that you didn’t mean it that way.
