In a sense, I have a small battery at home that I “could’ run a lamp off of for a few hours - the UPS for my computer. I just replaced the batteries in it, and what’s in there is basically 2 motorcycle/lawn tractor sized 12 volt batteries in series, that slide into the case.

They’re not lithium, they’re non-liquid lead acid cells, which are actually pretty good. The old ones were over 4 years old and probably wouldn’t carry a load for very long.

The UPS route is rather expensive in terms of dollars per watt-hour, but it serves its purpose.

I also have a small 3 kw gas-fired generator out in the garage (which I need to run, but I have to get some gas for it first). It would hold me over for several hours, and if there were a gas station in the region, I have 3 5-gallon jerrycans that I could fill and go for days. I also have a gas fireplace, and I have a small propane “ventless” heater and 3 or 4 tanks of propane I can use for heat in an emergency.

Plus candles, oil lamps, and a 12 volt battery with a solar panel that might charge it if I can get sufficient sun. That would be more useful, I think, for keeping the electronics charged.

A nice, reasonably small battery/solar system would be nice though, if not too terribly expensive. Being able to run the furnace blower would be a great asset. As long as there’s natural gas available.

Having just moved, after packing at least 150 boxes, I am down with the struggle of finding the end of the tape. Even with the cheap plastic dispensers, the tape would sometimes find a way to reunite with itself and hide its edge. Alas, I became pretty adept at finding the leading edge and if caught early, it wasn’t quite as one with the rest of the roll.

That's for sure! The big question about the machines that produce more than they consume is will they be designed to fail at some point? That's the American way, planned obsolescence, which has to change.

I'm clinging to my 23 year old refrigerator that keeps on cooling. While all the new appliances I have bought all are designed to work for a while and then fail. Does not matter which one you get or how much you pay the fix is in.

Looks like the left wing appointments are all set up for fat Tish. Hopefully, there are enough pending charges that will keep her hiring lawyers forever. Time for a little payback.

Your’e right about a lot, most of today’s appliances. I found a gem several years ago, my “garage” refrigerator. Bought it new, not an energy star rated, but it has the old-school coils on the back (easy to clean) and it’s been a solid workhorse. Not a huge fridge, but it’ll hold and carry me if/when my main kitchen fridge fails.

I don’t much care for government meddling, but I’d like a rating system similar to “energy star” that rated appliances that have sufficient longevity - say, 15 or 20 years. Something tells me the manufacturers would balk at such regulations, since they would not be selling quite the quantity they do now, years down the road.

But imagine buying a washer and keeping it for 25 or 30 years. Or a fridge that lasts 4 decades. Stuff like that ought to be a ‘once and done’ kind of item.

They ought to transition all the raggedy people to infertile beings at birth. Sterilize them all so they can’t reproduce. Kind of like being gay would do if it were actually a genetic trait.

The dirty dems are planning a huge redistricting, gerrymandering, effort before the elections. No telling how all that will change things in the states they control.

If we don't counter we are kidding ourselves.

I just heard on warroom yesterday and Friday about the Texas legislature and how weak the rinos there are sabotaging the state.

Texas needs a new Governor. ANd thats not all:

https://rinoremovalproject.org/chapter/rrp-texas-state-chapter/

Welcome to the Texas Chapter

The Texas State Chapter of the RINO Removal Project is a grassroots movement committed to purging Republicans In Name Only (RINOs) from the Texas Republican Party (RPT). The Lone Star State is a stronghold of conservative values, yet RINOs undermine this legacy by aligning with establishment interests or Democrats, betraying the America First agenda.

Our mission is to expose these politicians, mobilize Texas patriots, and elect true conservative leaders who uphold limited government, secure borders, and traditional values. Join us to restore the RPT as a beacon of liberty and strength!

The RINO Problem in Texas:

A Timeline of Betrayal

Texas voters demand unwavering conservative leadership, but RINOs in Congress and the state legislature have repeatedly defied the RPT’s platform. Below is a timeline of key events highlighting the RINO crisis and the grassroots fight to reclaim the RPT, drawn from recent developments:

2020–2021: Cornyn’s Bipartisan Votes Spark Fury

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn supported the 2022 Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, a gun control measure labeled RINO-friendly by President Trump. His 35% Heritage Foundation score for the 118th Congress and votes for Ukraine funding without U.S. border security measures led Attorney General Ken Paxton to brand him an “America Last RINO,” as noted in a May 2025 Townhall article.

2022–2023: Crenshaw’s Moderate Record Draws Scrutiny

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, with a low RINOScorus score, faced RINO accusations for supporting bipartisan infrastructure bills and failing to fully back Trump’s agenda.

T 2024: House Speaker Race Exposes RINO Influence

Posts on X from December 2024 revealed outrage over 32 House Republicans, including Rep. Dustin Burrows, backing a Democrat-preferred speaker over conservative David Cook, despite the GOP’s overwhelming majority. This betrayal, criticized by @amuse, fueled calls to oust these RINOs in 2026.

April 2025: RRP Targets Texas in State Surveillance Program

RRP’s State Surveillance Program prioritized Texas, focusing on Cornyn and Crenshaw with RINOScorus™ scores of 45 and 42, respectively. The program rallied local GOP districts to support primary challengers like Paxton against Cornyn, as noted in a May 2025 IntellectualConservative article.

June 2025: GatorPAC Partnership Amplifies Texas Efforts

RRP partnered with GatorPAC, led by Col. Rob Maness, to boost grassroots activism in Texas. The collaboration, reported by MENAFN on June 12, 2025, uses X Spaces town halls and the America First Academy to promote challengers, with a focus on eliminating open primaries via RRP’s.

PrimaryGuard initiative.

Ongoing: Local GOP Districts Target State RINOs

GOP districts in Dallas and Tarrant Counties are pushing to censure state legislators like Rep. Morgan Meyer for supporting bipartisan education bills and voting for Ken Paxton’s 2023 impeachment. These efforts, inspired by RRP’s national strategy, aim to bar RINOs from RPT funding, echoing Alaska’s district 29 sanctions.

Why RINOs Are a Problem in Texas

Texas RINOs exploit the state’s conservative base while advancing moderate policies, obstructing the America First agenda. Here’s why they’re a threat and what’s at stake:

Betrayal of Voter Trust

RINOs like Cornyn and Crenshaw campaign as conservatives but vote with Democrats on issues like gun control and foreign aid, eroding trust in the RPT. Their actions defy the RPT’s platform, as highlighted by Paxton’s “America Last” critique.

Open Primaries Protect RINOs

Texas’s open primary system allows Democrats to vote in GOP primaries, boosting moderate RINOs. RRP’s PrimaryGuard effort, noted in a May 2025 Townhall article, seeks closed primaries to ensure conservative candidates prevail. Bipartisan Compromises Weaken Conservative Priorities RINOs supporting bipartisan bills, like infrastructure or education funding, prioritize corporate and establishment interests over fiscal conservatism and border security. These compromises block bold reforms, as criticized in RRP’s voter guides.

National Impact of Texas RINOs

As a GOP powerhouse, Texas RINOs like Cornyn weaken the America First agenda in Washington, D.C. His votes against Trump’s priorities embolden the establishment, as noted in a January 2025 WorldNetDaily report.

Lack of Accountability Emboldens RINOs

Weak RPT sanctions, like the failure to oust Burrows after the 2024 speaker vote, signal to RINOs they can defy the base without consequences. RRP’s grassroots censures aim to change this, per a June 2025 X post by @TMerk4343. ..................................

Great post!

Imagine a washing machine that held more than a teaspoon of water and actually got the clothes clean the first go round. OR a dryer that actually got hot. I think the goal for mfg. right now is about 5 years. It should be 20 as you say! We should be able to buy such machines even if they cost more. I don't know where they are.

Actually secure borders are a great start. Is a country without a border still a unique country?

The #1 Killer in Hospitals Isn’t a Disease — It’s a Word Before the unexpected happens, read this warning to keep your loved ones safe.

https://www.vigilantfox.com/p/the-1-killer-in-hospitals-isnt-a

On a mass scale, we learned that hospitals across the country followed standardized federal protocols—not individualized care.

Things like Remdesivir and ventilators were pushed on dying patients.

Ivermectin and other affordable therapies were banned.

Even when doctors knew their patients would die, many refused to try alternatives.

And families were left in the dark.

Hospitals murdered COVID patients. The more they killed, the more money they made.

When the hospitals tested for COVID, they got paid more.

When they admitted patients for COVID, they got paid more.

When they put people on Remdesivir, they got paid more.

And when they put loved ones on the ventilator, they got paid more.

Meanwhile, family requests for ivermectin were denied, while their loved ones were placed on this death protocol instead.

If you think this started with COVID, think again. Hospitals are still a death sentence for loved ones.

Before the unexpected happens, learn how this death trap works to keep your loved ones safe.
