Those two guys are part of Charlie’s (security ??) team. They helped carry Charlie to the SUV, afterwards. I guess they figured there was no time for an ambulance?

he wasn’t going to jump and bend his knees with that rifle in his pant leg. Best thing I can think of is that it was a tall backpack, but even then, unless it was easily taken down to 2 pieces, there is no way to hide that rifle. Something would be sticking out somewhere.
My friend’s AR can fit, after taking it down into its 2 parts (upper/barrel and lower/stock) into a space about 25-26 inches long. And that’s a relatively short barreled AR. And an AR is easy to take down - 2 large machined pins hold it together.
