Jesus never told the government to provide free food for people.
Want *free* food? Take the stings attached.
Heck, when kids get free lunches at school, they get what’s on the menu that day. No other choice. Take it or leave it.
And if they don’t like it, they can bring their own lunch to school like kids used to all the time.
Reliable Dem voters on the dole.
THANK YOU!!!!!
Exactly. Democrats buying votes.
“”Your position is shear foolishness.””
No... it’s not. I’m sad that you have apparently missed the whole point I was trying to make.

Wait... you can’t have it both ways. You guys call it “your money” via taxes. But now you change it up and say “Jesus never told the “government” to provide free food... but he was always handing out ‘free food’ and money too, to the needy and to the poor. Jesus did indeed tell people to provide food to the poor. And the point whooshed right over your head... that Jesus did not specify or dictate ‘what kind of food’ to give to the poor like you guys are doing. I’m just amazed. Truly.
all stores that accept EBT cards do that,
when you swipe your EBT care and input your pin number
a food or cash prompt is shown on the POS terminal
you choose for food.
how do i know, cause as a senior on SS i get a whole 23.00 month food stamps.. weee
do i buy items that are not EBT payable, nope.
I have gotten diet soda.. but then I am 70 and will do what ever the hell i want to. OH and yes i pay cash for my grocers at the beginning of the month around 250.00 for the entire month.
You make the calls and do the homework. Call the VA and your local State Health Services. Veterans and their families are a priority over others and get special treatment and benefit rules.
The list is too long to post here. Everything from certain military pay not even being counted as income for qualification purposes, to free legal services no one else gets, Some states provide extra monthly income and housing benefits who only Veterans can qualify for.
As an example even in Ca they have their own program. If you are eligible for SNAP you are also eligible for Medi”CAL”. And if you are eligible for Medical you are eligible for additional special veteran benefits that no one else is eligible for.

lasted till the mid 80.s as i remember, I use to get the 5 lb block of cheese and flour powered milk etc. was great surplus government commodies
👍👍👍
I hate to see you struggling like this. I have been trying to preach compassion here for over ten years now. It is a lost cause... All the so called “Compassionate Christians” here are everything but that. They are the most selfish, racist, hypocritical, self righteous radical extremists I have ever dealt with in my life.
Not one of them own a damned mirror. They would rather horde their money and let folks starve to death than to give up funds they would just go blow at the Indian Casino, or buy a fourth car and third home, or shell out $100 for one meal for two. And they will even pull passage after passage out of the Bible to support and justify their immoral position.
You efforts are moral, well served, and righteous. But they are falling on completely deaf selfish ears... To these folks “compassion” equals leftist bleeding heart liberal. They will not talk about God and compassion at all. True virtue, morality, and lack of greed is absolutely Taboo...
People should pick up "government cheese" and beans at the local post office on the first day of the month.

Well, no matter how deaf those ears seem... I can’t just ‘not try’. I’m not wired that way. But thanks for your words. Much appreciated. They’re pretty stubborn. But they have no idea how stubborn I can be. It goes with the birth sign, I suppose. I’ll give you a hint. Shooting arrows to the front, horse’s behind in the back...lololol.
My sister had a neighbor in the 90s who prided herself on “gaming the system.” She would brag to my sister about how she used food stamps to get things like lobsters, steaks, fancy cheeses, etc.
That woman didn’t work, either. So here was my sister going to work every day, and buying normal groceries on her pay as opposed to getting lobsters, steaks and fancy cheeses while her neighbor essentially bragged to her about how she was exploiting her tax dollars.
I’m not sure if you can still get stuff like that on food stamps, but apparently back then, you could get just about anything but booze.
I don’t like the idea of GOP getting in on policing food purchases, and yes, I know it’s the ‘tax payers money’ but it still feels reductive to me.
“”””People should pick up “government cheese” and beans at the local post office on the first day of the month.””””
Senior citizens for the rest of their life choking down the same meal forever although seniors often have enough trouble getting themselves to eat the things they like, or a mom trying to feed kids food that they will eat and that has some nutrition?
Diabetics, special diets, allergies, or anyone else that should be choosing their own food ?
Whether it is food stamps or cash, it will quickly disappear if you buy the expensive stuff, SNAP evaporates just as quickly as cash in a grocery store.
man you are not smart are you, the EBT card also has any cash benefit the person gets, buying food you press the food button on the pos, or push cash for buying other things like liquor.
“”””lasted till the mid 80.s as i remember, I use to get the 5 lb block of cheese and flour powered milk etc. was great surplus government commodies””””
I would buy that stuff from people, cheap, I ate a lot of that cheese and drank a lot of powdered milk, occasionally I would also buy food stamps on those rare occasions that one of them needed money instead of the food, for $10 I could get $20 worth of groceries.
About time! He’s right.
