Thanks.
sorry to hear about dementia in a loved one. My dad had it last 10 years or so of his life and he passed at 64. Tuff 10 years.
Knees - specifically left ( right is right behind )
left knee has been degrading over time. Shredded meniscus and bone on bone.
In 2024, I was ready to play golf.(so i thought)
I was ripping cloth and brought my index down to 12 then the knees blew out - July-ish.
I tried to play but index went up to 19 and a hard cap in a heartbeat.
I had the knees juiced to no avail.
Pretty much quit golf in August last year... in search of relief.
Started this year in middle of April (season starts in March here) and immediately went to a 21+ index...they hard-capped me @ 17.
I bit the bullet and had the surgery
If your Handicap Index increases by 3.0 strokes within a year, the soft cap slows the rate of additional movement beyond 3.0 strokes by 50%. My rate in 2024 increased in a heartbeat to a hard cap.
The hard cap sets a max increase of 5.0 total strokes within a year.
I’m looking to be able to walk a round of golf when all this is over.
When I come out of this, I will be trying to follow one your country’s greatest golfer’s golf swing...
thanks for the kind words.

thanx. I’ll chew on it.
I’ve been trying to stay away from the hard stuff. But i was also told to try and stay out in front of my pain.
I made the picture smaller on my iPad and the forks jumped out at me.
I hope your knee replacement went really well and you’ll be walking the fairways again by autumn ... just in time to lose your ball in the middle of a fairway under a pile of leaves. Lol!
Wow, looks like an absolutely beautiful treasure which will be a tangible permanent legacy for your family for generations to come. What a beautiful mother-in-law you will make!
May God Richly Bless You and Yours.

🚨 WOW. Jessica Tarlov has now admitted it: We support gerrymandering, only if Democrats are doing it.
“We will take the opportunity when we see it to redistricting a way that is favorable to us. We would be stupid not to!”
REPUBLICANS, DON’T STOP!
Thank you for your kind words, Mrs. K. I’ve been working hard since they started dating to be a good future mother-in-law. I keep my lips zipped unless asked for my opinion. Then if I’m asked for my opinion, I give it as kindly as I can, and I’m as cooperative and considerate as a human can be. I’ve realized since he was 6 that his wife would become the lioness at the gate to my son. My relationship with her is almost more important to maintain well than my relationship with him. So far, so good. I’m impressed with the two of them that this is the gift they wanted.
Maybe with intel, but he needs Texas to solve this themselves.
😉 If you had walked you could have burnt off some of those calories.
Aquila’s post is also from August 2nd. I was able to verify the date from the comments it received. Did Gabriela Iglesias give credit to anyone at the end of that post? The eyes looking to the right, American flag, and Russian flag are Aquila’s trademark. When I copy a post from Aquila account the flags become US and RU. Most of the time I delete that but not today.
Interesting!
ha ha!
...
Very best wishes on a good recovery.

Thank you, stylin. The dementia journey is going to a be a long and difficult one for everyone. I think I’d rather lose my knees because they can be repaired. Dementia just eats at a brain until there’s nothing left.
The worst of your knee problem is over - the deterioration, the pain and the surgery. I know you’re tough enough to come out better on the other side. Please keep us posted on your progress.
Yeah, we were out in the country. Our lunch block was only 50 minutes and no way we would have made it there and back.
Prayers for healing for your knee and some needed sleep.
Hope you’re feeling better soon.
