That is absolutely genius Frank! Nicely done.
Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks did a cover of “Old Cow Hand”, which was the first time I’d ever heard it. Only recently I found out that Bing Crosby AND Frank Sinatra, and countless others, did versions of it.
How absolutely charming.
I guess they thought that since they mow each others lawns they could handle a farm! LMAO!!!
HORSES OBEY HOT WIRE.
SHEEP DO NOT DO SO
NOTHING LIKE A CITY SLICKER MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT COUNTRY LIFE.
I MOVED TO CURRENT PROPERTY WITH 6 HORSES & 3 DOGS.
YOUNGEST HORSE GOT OUT ABOUT 2 MONTHS AFTER ALL FENCES ALL WERE INSTALLED. HE APPARENTLY PUSHED THRU THE FENCE-—BELOW THE HOT WIRE, SEEKING NIBBLES.
ANOTHER STRAND OF HOT WIRE WENT UP IMMEDIATELY.
HAVE OVER 2 1/2 MILES OF HOT WIRE ALONE. 630 X 389 Parcel
YOU NEVER EVER FEED MOWED GRASS TO HORSES.
THEY NEED TO GRAZE ON THEIR OWN.
MOWED GRASS CAN ACTUALLY BE TOXIC.......
HAVE HAD HORSES FOR OVER 40 YEARS
ENDURANCE HORSES LIVE ON ALFALFA YEAR ROUND
HOrses aren’t as good at maintaining pasture as cattle. Horses nibble here and there in favorite patches while cattle eat everywhere. Cattle (and sheep and goats) can also digest forage better than horses.
Idiots should have asked some questions. Horses are natures lawn mowers. Just rotate pastures. The rest of the grass could have been cut for hay.
Thank you so much. I needed the applause tonight.
She’s succeeding. 😁
Nicely done.
They could also add a new dynamic to Petticoat Junction.
I can see why lol
Whenever I’d walk back towards the fence closest to the house to pitch some flakes off the $$$ bale of alfalfa they might be 7-1000 yards away and come running
Id try hay or orchard and they’d be like “not unless I’m starving”
And man they prance around a lot after a meal of it
I enjoyed all that a big chunk of my adult life
25 years
Now my rib made us live urban Nashville
Ugh
Earth to Ellen, horses will kill your sheep. They will run them until the break the sheep breaks a leg.
As a lib she should fit right on with the socialist policies of the town councils and would vote to keep Diddly Squat farm from functioning
