I know what you mean. Mangione’s passing brought a year to my eye, I felt very sentimental. I know I’ll spend the afterlife with our Lord Jesus and there will be lots of beautiful music then. Our life here in this world passes like a breath.

Oh, that loser. I forgot his last name is also Mangione. What a disgrace.

I guess there is no relation to the United Health shooter.

Saw him for free at the NY State Fair many years ago with my two sons. I was born in Rochester, NY too.

I met him and Chris Vadala way back in 1982. Tiny little guy.

I remember trying to play the BD version/solo "Chase The Clouds Away" on my brothers valve and rotor mellophone.
...not exactly Bonnie Ott.

Had the good fortune to dash down the road from Chapel Hill to Raleigh upon hearing Chuck Mangione was playing in a free afternoon Spring street concert. No time to coordinate with friends, drove there by myself. While meandering through the crowd, a couple saw me and asked if I wanted to sit with them on their blanket.
I eagerly said yes! Listened to Chuck Mangione, directly in front of him, about 10 feet away. It was an amazing experience.
