And at least before immigration hit Sweden, it was a small homogenous country, where the people had a good work ethic, and wouldn’t try to take advantage of the system.

The author is a complete idiot. He wants so much to say socialism is the blame, while dismissing America was sold out.

The entire point of the MAGA appeal from Trump, was the fact that politicians and the powers that be sold out America and the forgotten man.

That the 'system' did cause so many struggles via 'free' trade, outsourcing, global wage arbitrage and mass migration. The wealthy and corporations did put the fingers on the scale toward globalism, and we are paying the price for that now.

There was a quote in an article yesterday from a woman who had converted to Islam. She said Islam brought structure, discipline and purpose to her life. Prior to that she had been adrift in a queer world filled with partying. To me that sounds like a life of sex, drugs and rock and roll with no guard rails or direction. Very enlightening statement.

I’m surprised more Conservatives never looked into getting a professor job after they retired from their careers. Teach just one or two classes and it’s a part-time job (with a TA or two a full schedule is part-time anyway!), you’re in charge of the class, so easy to take a two-week vacation whenever you want, etc.

Hell, if nothing else work as a sub for the local school district, and you only have to work one day a month if you want! At least do something to put your values in front of all these kids.

I did teach an Embedded Computing class in the local high school for three years. I enjoyed it a great deal and so did the students. A teaching certificate is required to go on longer; and, that is not desirable at my age.
