I remember he chose several of what he called the world’s great cities and compared them. Honestly the only one I remember was Johannesburg. I sure wish I’d kept notes or a transcript!

I remember my grad school graduation from Univ of Colorado
The speaker was Armand Hammer
I think he said “Oil shale is the future” in about 3 different sentences, then fell asleep in his chair onstage.

I was visiting my great-aunt in southwestern Connecticut during Agnes. Rained a lot but I don’t think there was any damage.
