Good. Those specific changes were likely long overdue.
Some folks have to see a printed up, posted rule, before they start controlling their behavior or considering the comfort of other passengers in their area.

I have seen some of the videos and I think they are justified in doing whatever needs to done for the safety of the passengers but also maintaining the quality of the experience. People take cruises to get away from the daily grind and problems not face the same stuff on vacation.
If you’ve ever seen any of the many RIDICULOUS videos of passengers on Carnival cruises, you can easily see the reasons for these rules. If I won a free cruise on Carnival, I wouldn’t go.

I was paired with an African named C'Pring from Cameroon in my Junior year of college.
C'Pring gave me a LOT of perspective.
One day he was telling me how he was able to afford to come to America and attend a State College. Apparently, he was incredibly rich. He owned four trucks. Unheard of in that country at that time.
Also, one day, I told him I was going to the grocery store because I was out of food. He was suprised. "What do you mean you are out of food! You have an egg in the fridge, and two small packs of crackers! And don't you have a quarter of a bag of rice? You have lots of food!"
But the most eye-opening thing he related to me was that he despised American blacks. He would wrinkle his nose when talking about them. "Disgusting people, they have NO self-respect!"
I thought all those brawls were a part of the entertainment package.
Not that I felt there was anything wrong with that…😁
Some call the Carnival Cruise line the “Greyhound of the Seas” - just as Spirit airlines is called the “Greyhound of the Skies.”
My daughter rode Greyhound recently and said the bus was very clean, civilized and orderly, had good WiFi - and left and arrived on time.
We like smaller cruise lines like American or Viking - one trip on Carnival, one on Princess and all of us said “never again.”

I met a guy from Nigeria in my freshman university phys ed class.
We were showering, and this black kid starts urinating all over his side of the shower into the drain.
I forget the guy’s name but remember, as we dressed I asked him what he thought about it.
He had a clipped English accent: “Some things are cool, and some things are not cool. That was not cool.”
Many videos on TikTok on this subject. Do not take 3-4 night cruises.
If you take 7 night cruises, no problem at all.
