Congress can just spend less money!
Only eliminate it after passing a mandatory annual balanced budget requirement.
The Federal Reserve isn't spending our tax dollars.
A Constitutional amendment that requires the debt level to be no more than X percent of the GDP while and also cannot be consuming, in debt interest payments, no more than X percent of the federal budget, and all the while must be part of a balanced budget, with any consequential deficit in a given quarter requiring the chief executive to make offsetting expenditure reductions the following quarter, where the chief executive chooses.
No debt ceiling has ever stopped a higher debt.
Only a law with criminal penalties will stop deficit spending....or civil action against legislators...or economic collapse.
The Federal Reserve is the reason our income taxes are being taken from us in the first place.
Also, the Federal Reserve taxes us further when they print money.
1. printing money causes inflation
2. inflation means our dollars are worth less than before
3. spending more to buy the same things is a hidden tax
Where did you get that idea?
Also, the Federal Reserve taxes us further when they print money.
What do they do with it, after they print it?
