I used to watch the Disneyland fireworks every night from our back fence. I could see Tinkerbell coming down from the Matterhorn. And every night the strains of Casey Junior lulled me to sleep.

My head is spinning with all this. Can someone clue me in, once and for all, on whether the OBBB is dead or not? I’ve read so many differing things about it that I don’t know what to think.
Some say it’s passed both chambers, and that the only procedural step left is to send it to the President for his signature. Others say Massie claims to have the votes to block the bill. Does anyone, anywhere, know for sure?
The House is one step closer to delivering the Big Beautiful Bill to President Trump, thanks to the work of Speaker Johnson and Leader Thune.
I said it yesterday on @FoxFriendsFirst: The Big Beautiful Bill can get to President Trump’s desk by the 4th of July. pic.twitter.com/YFwZSsdde9— Erin Maguire (@ErinMMaguire) July 3, 2025
Many thanks for the info!
A little hungover from yesterday’s over indulging on poutine, back bacon, and Tim’s, eh?
It’s good to have you back.

I give Elon credit for his visionary mind. This latest upset makes me think he is more upset about losing subsidies than the budgetary concerns. He pushes solar and claims it is the answer to the future and he points out China getting ahead in solar and Norway (I think) who claim 97% of cars are EV. It is all rather self serving and not big picture. Solar is a scar on the landscape and takes so much land that pretty quickly a lot of good farm land will be covered. We can’t eat solar panels, even though I have family running sheep under solar to keep grass down. But big picture, it isn’t efficient. It makes a lot of money for a few and around here the out of town land owners don’t care.
Wind energy people are already begging for another tax abatement when windmills need to be replaced. If it was profitable they would not need more relief. The problem is those turbines do not pay for themselves before they wear out. How foolish. The gigantic blades are a problem because there isn’t a good way to recycle so they are stacking up in various places. How foolish. But companies and landowners are making money and local taxing entities are so happy for the money thrown at various events by these companies and for tax money, even though reduced compared to other businesses.
