Very evil people do such things.
Especially those who come disguised as good and benevolent people…
Hmmm…Mr. Orosius has said that Soviet agents in France did sow defeatism among the French in 1940.
I think this really could have happened, since the Hitler-Stalin pact still was holding at that time.
Yes, and you might really be correct about the assessment of non-Communist French in 1940, who said to themselves that the Nazis would still be better than their hostile twins.
What a tragical misconception…
The French military were betrayed by the socialist French government their military leadership. For those who care to look there’s many examples of French soldiers fighting well in WWII. The government, etc. simply didn’t have their back.
God bless Andrei Vlasov!
The communists would dig up and desecrate the corpses of clergy.

They could’ve sided with the Commies.”

Just led by the old corrupt communists.
AI Overview
Information suggests that Vladimir Putin’s background in the KGB has influenced his rule in Russia. He joined the Soviet intelligence service (KGB) in the 1970s and worked as a foreign intelligence officer for 15 years. He grew up idealizing the KGB and saw its decline with the Soviet Union’s collapse as a major setback.
Regarding his rule, Putin has been in power since 1999 and is considered by some to be a dictator. His political career has been characterized by consolidating state power, curbing the influence of those who do not support him (such as some oligarchs), and strengthening state security.

LOL! Putin is far from being a Marxist. In fact he’s criticized the Commies a lot for giving historic Russian lands filled with Russian people to the Ukranian SSR.
During the Greek civil war, the Greek Communists approached my family demanding their support. My family were not only large landowners, but also had a long military tradition. My mother’s uncle was a general in the army who fought the Germans until he was captured. Getting my family’s support would have been a huge feather in the Communists’ cap.
My family were staunchly anti-Communist and refused. In response, the Communists burned down the family home and kidnapped two young girls. They held them hostage in the mountains for a year, basically until the civil war ended.
Communists are evil, brutal animals and deserve no consideration or quarter in defeating them.
An OSS friend of mine, was there.
Brutal animals are offended at the comparison with communists.
